SP: 2019 NA Summer Tour (feat. Gallagher and AFI)

Any of you planning on going to this? Toying with the idea of hitting one of the California shows.

Very curious what approach they'll take to setlists now that they've done the gargantuan 32 song affair on the last tour.

Noel Gallagher is a curiosity to me, but nothing that would drive me to it. Sing the Sorrow and prior AFI is fun, nostalgic stuff to me.

Definitely maybe gonna go to one of the Texas shows :stan:

You don't happen to be a Chicago Bears fan do you?

fuzzyroes 03-12-2019 09:10 PM

AFI's definitely one of the cooler opening acts that SP has played with in awhile. Never listened to any of Noel Gallaghers solo stuff beside from a couple of singles which sucked the big one.

I was hoping there'd be some Western Canada dates. Bummer.

Zer0 Hour 03-13-2019 03:17 PM

Yep, going to this in August. I was determined to NEVER see Corgan again after the Shiny tour (SP was great but Billy as a person just makes me sick anymore) but the presence of Noel made me buy a ticket. Love Oasis and his solo material.

But it would honestly be more fitting if Billy was touring with Liam's band. It could be the "TOTAL DICKS FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE POND" tour.

Mals Marola 03-13-2019 03:26 PM

most fitting of all would be a full-blown Oasis reunion, tbh

Noel & Corgan linking up in such a way was bound to happen sooner or later

Dear God, there would be an arrest and a cancellation of the remainder of the tour within 2 weeks of opening night.

Ram27 03-13-2019 09:05 PM

Really excited to see the set. From Corgan's insta stories it seems like he's considering adding some obscure[d pleaseeee] stuff

pale_princess 03-14-2019 12:15 AM

nah last year's show was my first in 18 years and I feel like I can wait another 18 til the next one

FoolofaTook 03-14-2019 09:07 AM

lol

TuralyonW3 03-14-2019 10:14 AM

I’m going

Mals Marola 03-14-2019 10:14 AM

I'd love to see an Oasis reunion but I think Liam assholed himself out of that ever happening. Still love his music but it's like he goes out of his way to be a dick.

LOL so true. But what a ride! Imagine if you were lucky enough to see those shows before they canceled the rest of the tour. It would be a magnificent shitshow.

krackhead 03-27-2019 08:56 PM

dont look back in anger, i heard you say.

Modern90's 03-27-2019 09:06 PM

might go to the camden one, but i really dont like the venue so idk

Gooch 03-28-2019 01:46 AM

That Camden venue is a shithole. I saw NIN there and it ruined their show, it was so bad

houseofglass11 03-28-2019 03:44 AM

Not going for several reasons. Don't like AFI at all and don't understand why they're on the tour, saw Noel Gallagher at House of Blues last year and he was boring as hell, saw SP last year and they were only slightly less boring. Not to mention the Woodlands Pavillion is a total hellhole in the Summer time. I'm not going to brave 100 degree heat to suffer through this.

Tumora 04-04-2019 09:18 AM

Flying out to Cali to visit my brother and catching the show on the 29th.
Long air travel from Mesopotamia.

FoolofaTook 04-04-2019 09:47 AM

:erm:

ninsp 04-04-2019 09:52 AM

lmao why would I waste money on this

Mals Marola 04-04-2019 11:03 AM

2 hear Wonderwall live by the Wonderwall man

Mals Marola 04-04-2019 11:04 AM

i fucking bet Corgan covers an Oasis song at least once on this tour

Mals Marola 04-04-2019 11:05 AM

pardon the profanity!

FoolofaTook 04-04-2019 11:05 AM

originally noel was supposed to sing wonderwall. but liam took (whallah!) it.

so then noel sung don't look back in anger to get back at him.

I know these kinds of things.

FoolofaTook 04-04-2019 11:06 AM

they also did a lot of coke.

FoolofaTook 04-04-2019 11:06 AM

and it's my bday today.

Mals Marola 04-04-2019 11:07 AM

the MTV unplugged performance where Noel sings all the songs & Liam heckles from the balcony is a 90s highlight

FoolofaTook 04-04-2019 11:08 AM

why did that happen? were they fighting? was liam too drunk? was it both?

Mals Marola 04-04-2019 11:10 AM

FoolofaTook 04-04-2019 11:24 AM
