bands that are terrible
pretty much everything established since 2000 except for Isis & deerhunter.
|
Isis was formed in like 1997
|
I actually came upon the worst band ever, no exaggeration. They're caller Aer.

30 seconds was about 29 seconds too much, but I did want to get a sense of how bad it really was. It's just another brick in the 'Idiocracy as Documentary' paradox. |

Not boris. def not boris.
|
Feels is a good album.
|
I'll admit there's a lot of much worse music out there, but I can't stand the whole Father John Misty shtick.
|
Animal Collective just feels to me like rich kids dicking around with their instruments, being twee for the sake of being twee. I hate them.
|
It's like if Elphenor had friends and was given a record deal.
|
Another vote for Animal Collective
I dunno I do respect them in a way but was always kind of repelled by their music |
I think I hated them the moment I saw the video for My Girls. Of course it's a great video visually, but it pissed me off that so much of their performance amounted to a keyboard arpeggiating by itself, and occasionally tapping a key on the keyboard every bar to change the arpeggio.
It also seriously rubs me the wrong way and I don't think I've ever liked a single white artist that sincerely incorporated elements of tribal music. Paul Simon, Talking Heads, Vampire Weekend, Animal Collective, you name it. |
Animal Collective is Burning Man music.

pretty much any 20 something with the hobo boxcar look needs to be sent to the salt mines and worse his music is boring af |

vampire weekend is horrible and i could listen to the talking heads instead
i think the vast majority of bands these days are trying to find bands from 70s & 80s to copy and if they're obscure enough your fans won't know you're a cover band |
