FoolofaTook 06-30-2018 12:34 AM

yeah you guys were right. second season is starting to suck ass, sorta. there are still good parts, but some of that shit is awful. what happened, did lynch run out of acid?

redbreegull 06-30-2018 12:59 AM

where are you took

redbreegull 06-30-2018 01:02 AM

I ride for everything up until episode 9 of season 2, then there's a big dip, then it starts to get better in the last five episodes or so culminating in one of the greatest finales in television history

both Lynch and Frost were absent from production through a lot of season 2. ABC forced them to reveal the killer, which they never planned to reveal, and then Lynch especially got frustrated and went off in a huff. Then the show got bad, it got shuffled around in a few different time slots, and ratings plummeted. When Lynch came back for the last episode, they didn't know if they were getting renewed or canceled yet

FoolofaTook 06-30-2018 08:22 AM

ah i see. i am at episode 14 so just a few more to make it through. the movie and season three are good right?

redbreegull 06-30-2018 12:12 PM

The movie was critically panned. It's much darker, and more VISCERAL than the original series, but yes, in my opinion it is great. Make sure you watch the extra scenes too. Season 3 is, IMHO, the best part of the entire franchise and possibly the greatest thing to ever be on television. But the original series is pretty different than FWWM, and both are pretty different from season 3, so it will be interesting to see what you think

FoolofaTook 06-30-2018 01:20 PM

yeah made it to episode 18 and thanks allah it picked up.

the movie looks awesome. we should make a lynch thread.

FWWM is great. FWWM+The Missing Pieces is mandatory viewing for season 3, which goes headfirst into the surreal mythology.

FoolofaTook 06-30-2018 02:09 PM

so I should watch missing pieces as well before season 3?

redbreegull 06-30-2018 02:36 PM

I would say so. You aren't going to get any huge revelations, but FWWM is really essential

I would because there’s a lot of Philip Jeffries in missing pieces and his influence is abound in S3. There’s a passing reference to a major antagonist in Missing Pieces that comes back a few times.

But we’re not going to talk about them, in fact we’re not going to talk about them at all.

redbreegull 06-30-2018 04:25 PM

I really really love the missing pieces scene in which Laura goes to Donna's and Doc Hayward tells her about how she is going to be rescued by an angel

one of the my ultimate TP moments

FoolofaTook 06-30-2018 11:23 PM

lynch is the shouting agent right, cooper's superior?

bastard got to kiss shelly.

FoolofaTook 07-01-2018 04:19 AM

redbreegull 07-03-2018 01:56 AM

Took, let us know when you've finished everything so we can talk about the meaning of the universe

FoolofaTook 07-03-2018 05:53 AM

I've watched seasons 1 & 2 and FWWM. Halfway thru missing pieces. I think the movies are better. But I will definitely have to re-watch all this again.

FoolofaTook 07-03-2018 05:54 AM

The surreal scenes, the stuff in the Black Lodge, is fucking apeshit. So blessed to have weed right now.

The Return will blow your fucking mind if that’s your favorite part of the show & movies

redbreegull 07-04-2018 12:47 AM

Weed is definitely a good copilot for The Return
