i do. i've been giving it a lot of listens. there are a few elements that aren't quite to my taste, but overall, the vocal talent he brings is going to make me give it multiple listens. the vibe is pretty sunny, and since neon ballroom he's been admirably creative. i like it. how about you?

I think I am going to change horses - Silverchair for SP. If that guy keeps his vodka and joint consummation in certain limits, there is some great music ahead of us.

are you a fan of diorama at all? i don't listen to it very often, but i really like it and break it out every so often when i want something nice and flamboyant

did you ever check out dissassociatives? i really liked some of the melodies, and was annoyed by other things on it.. lost it when my computer died and can't find it on slsk..

i think its pretty interesting how he announced he was not cowriting anymore and he was taking collaborative control and they were eventually coll with it. i'm glad he's got a band around him.

yes, but I don't mind THIS kind of pop, the songs are crafted very well. He is a very good songwriter - it is really fascinating how easy and effortless the songs sound.

I'd never heard any album since Frogstomp - what a horrible record. They completely got off my radar since then - I didn't bother to check. I just saw your 'best moment on the internet' thing - that song is so horrible. I clicked on some If you keep losing sleep video, was really surprised by the difference, and checked some more.

I liked the Dissassociatives videos, too! It is a great joy to see someone to grow into such a songwriter!

i read an interview where he says he basically considers silverchair as having 3 albums and would like to forget the first 2 because he was not really doing his own thing but was trying to sound like what he thought he ought to be sounding like, rather than himself

well, I can't obviously talk about the previous stuff, but he surely sounds very comfortable with the current production - there is no tension or forcing in it. Did you see them live on this tour?

no -- i thougth they only did a very few north american dates, and now they're doing a few in australia, since the album's out there. it doesn't come out here till july, i think they'll probably do a proper tour here at that point.. or at least i hope
