Even half of By the Way was good in spite of him recycling the same melodies over and over, but Stadium Arcadium is just bogged down to the point where not even Frusciante can save the album. I tried giving it yet another chance the other day, but I had to cut my losses halfway through disc one.

All it does is cut out the center channel (where the vocals would usually be) and mix together the left and right. It doesn't always sound that great, but sometimes you can hear some cool background stuff that wasn't noticeable before.

Actually, you can do it with most headphones too if you plug them in about halfway. Fun experiment with some songs.
