The Eagles will be the third best team in their division.

LOL @ Cowboys at 1.

Wade Phillips is an awful coach, and Garrett is too pass happy to use the three really good running backs that they have and make them the focus of that offense. Plus they have an overrated oline.

Wow who would have thought three years ago that Favre would be on the Vikings and Vick would be on the Eagles. Crazy.

The Cowboys are the worst team in that division

Nah.

1. Beagles
2. Gnats
3. Patties
4. Slurs

Gnats have an iffy secondary and an unproven receiving corps. Patties have a good team but a terrible coach. The Slurs' defense is kinda meh and they don't have an offensive weapon worth a damn besides Moss and Portis (both overrated). Beagles are the best team of that division, but they'll choke like they always do in the playoffs.

I'm sorry, I'll understand some reservations about the receivers, but the G-Men are incredibly strong in the secondary. Seriously? You're picking on the secondary?

I'm mainly picking on the secondary because they lost James Butler this past offseason to free agency. Maybe "iffy" is a bit too strong of a word. The Gnats' strength on D is clearly their front seven, though...and with Osi Umienoyra back, it'll be better than ever.

Oh, and the Gnats need to find someone to be the lightning to Brandon Jacob's thunder...he's not an every-down back.

FWIW, I hope that unproven receiving corps matures fast, because Eli Manning is one of my fantasy league QBs.

Observations from Giants' preseason opener - NFC East - ESPN

ESPN thinks the Giants are stacked at the secondary. Really the only concern is who will step up at WR

Bradshaw is easily capable of that.

Wait what? How is the Redskins defense kinda meh?

They were 4th or 5th in the league last season and they added Haynesworth and Orakpo. Say what you will about Haynesworth, but he's only going to help that defense that was already really good.

ORAKPO ! LONGHORNS!

(no but seriously he kind of dogs it out there and coasts on natural ability which will get him eaten alive in the NFL, i think he's going to be a bust )

It'll be hard for him to do that badly when he has Haynesworth commanding people to double up on him in blocking.

No matter how well they finished last season in total yards, I'm skeptical of a defense that a) has a geriatric collection of DEs (minus the unproven Orakpo), and b) was near the bottom of the barrel in turnovers last season (28th, in case anyone was wondering).

By the way, how 'bout Favre looking like utter crap against the Chiefs tonight?

Reid said that Vick will see action in the first 3 quarters on Thursday, and he wont be afraid to show off the wildcat. Exciting.

It's not really exciting. I have a feeling we might see the Wildcat only a couple times this season, it's not a huge deal.

Actually it is. Vicks first action in a game in 2 years, and the wildcat with Vick will be very exciting.

And a couple times a year? Try a couple times a game if Vick gets caught up to the speed of things by the time he's reinstated.

banana you are going really over board with this wildcat idea, it's a nice idea in theory but it's really a gimmick that looks really cool when executed. it wont be a big part of the Eagles offense this year.

I really haven't seen a team fail to execute when ran. Why are you so sure that it wont be a big part of the Eagles offense this year? Is it because they already ran it last year? Is it because they have the perfect quarterback for the wildcat offense now? Is it because McNabb has said that he wouldn't mind coming off the field a couple times a game for Vick to come in for some plays? Oh wait no, because those are all reasons as to why it will be a big part of the Eagles offense this year. And by big part I mean being used maybe 5-10 times a game which should result in 5-10 potentially big plays.
