Default what do you like on your hot dog?

i understand this is a totally loaded question, but i continue:

for those who have been to or live in chicago, i think you know we have better hotdogs than anywhere on the planet, but to each his/her own.

i either like them chicago style or with just ketchup (antichicago style)

what do you like on your dog?

http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg

im in school out in boston and everyone raves about their "fenway franks" but i was at fenway and not only were the hot dogs "eh" but the white sox absolutely destroyed the redsox that day. anyways, chicago is where its at for food.

wth is chicago style?

for me, any kind of hot pepper, sauerkraut, mustard, cheese, and onions. if it's a chili dog, forget the mustard and sauerkraut

Would Chicago-style essentially mean "everything" on it?

We totally have the best hotdogs, and I also go anti-chicago style and get ketchup on it. I get ketchup, mustard, pickles and celery salt.

Mmmm...this place called Herm's Palace in Evanston has THE BEST hotdogs I've ever had (for under $8).

Fenway franks are good, but I've never actually heard anyone rave about them. Clearly, you're hanging out with weirdos.

Default kind of off topic but not totally

You know I had an Italian beef for lunch today, and every time I eat one now I think about how many people don't get to eat them. I didn't realize that every hot dog/gyro place didn't sell Italian beef sandwiches. That's one place that's hard for me to find a real good place that makes them perfect - either the beef is too thick for me (it needs to be practically shaved) or there aren't enough spices. Or too much spices but I can deal with that.

Put some green peppers on that and get it dipped mmmm Roma's has great beefs.

chicago style dogs, (from a hot dog hut or a stand), are steamed or boiled hot dogs and theyve got mustard, relish, tomato, peppers, celery sault, a pickle and onions and its on a poppy seed bun. in some locations in chicago if you order ketchup on your hot dog they will either tell you to put it on yourself or not serve it to you. my favorite place was the M & H grill but it closed down a couple summers ago. some hot spots are the wiener circle, mustard's last stand and portillos. there are a ton of great spots though around town.

Ketchup.

I like Fenway Franks quite a deal. They're better than your average hot dog, but I wouldn't "rave" about them either.

Now I want a hot dog.

I've been to a LOT of ballparks, and the only one that has a hot dog worth raving about is Petco, from the Randy Jones BBQ pit. It's charcoal grilled in the Park at the Park and amazing.

That does sound good. I like my hot dogs burned. Fenway franks are the only hotdogs I'll eat steamed.

You know what's good ballpark food? Boog's barbecue at Camden Yards.

Well, it's highly unlikely I'll make it out that way, so it's Boog's for me!

So it's true what Rachael Ray said, that Yankee Stadium does not have good food? I'm even less likely to make it down there....

If you're hungry at Bonnaroo waiting for a show and the campsite is a long walk away...

I think it was $8.50 too, but it was the best damn hot dog I ever had. (Partly due to the fact that I was so hungry)

philadelphians consider people that put ketchup on hotdogs retards, no lie. I had a hotdog tonight, just yellow mustard. I usually like spicy brown on mine though.

Philadelphians sound like food snobs. First it's the whole cheese steak thing, and now they're anti-ketchup?
