He doesn't always sign the year... for a while he had the "7" in a circle, etc.

I met Billy in 1998, and his handwriting is so vertically squeezed, the 1998 looks like 1991. So my Adore cd looks like he signed "Billy 1991". Thank god he was nice enough to stand with me for a photo, or people would think I faked the autograph...

I have had many things signed by Billy and I don't see a year on any of them.

I think signing the year was a phase he went through in the late 90s. All my Billy signed stuff is dated. So maybe he forgets sometimes. Or he signs the year if he has time. The four items I have that he signed, I met him at parties or bumped into him at hotels, and so he would have had more time to sign than at a concert or at a book signing or something like that.

Anyway, as for the ebay sig, you'd hope people wouldn't fake stuff, but unless there's a pic or legit certificate of proof, it's probably fake. But you guyz know that. ;)

why buy something signed by billy if you didn't get it signed by him yourself

No it's not his. I have a signed mellon collie sleeve and blinking with fists, and it's easy to recognise his writing. And i'm not sure he'd be too quick to write 'Best Wishes!' like that either.

Plus, that book's pretty awful, unless you want a quick way of learning the pumpkin story. With holes.
