I use alot cheap dollar store insense. I have a poor sense of smell so I barely ever notice it. But I do like the novelty of burning insesne.

nag champa is great.

so is ylang ylang.

opium, lavendar, and frankincense are my other favourites. Cinnamon is nice...I've gotten so sick of vanilla since I was a vanilla freak from 7th thru 11th grade.

I'd also suggest eucalyptus...its kind of you love it or you hate it. Its supposedly known for its relaxing scent, but some people find it a bit strong. I love it. If I could have eucalyptus candles and incense burning at the same time forever, I would.

Well that and ylang ylang. Ylang Ylang is my favourite scent. Its flowery (I believe ylang ylang means flower of the flower or something - I learned that on the back of my Bath n Body Works auromatherapy body wash). Its nice. :)

Jasmine's nice, but its hard for me to appreciate it considering it was the only thing my Dad burned when I was a kid. Its nice, but I have bad memories of my family life when I was a kid...so its not so nice.

I feel the same way for the same reasons about peach incense...mainly the gel stuff because that's what my Mom burned all the time when I was a kid. (Now its gardenia, which I love :D)

I love incense. :banoonoo:

damnit. she likes the smell. but it gives her bad memories.

i know how she feels!! :( :D

not about jasmine though. because i dont liek the smell of jasmine anyway. or i dont know. when i buy insense i just get a huge assortment of whatever is there. unless it sounds like i wont like the smell. maybe ive grabbed jasmine before and liked it. but i doubt it. it doesnt sound like something i'd pick up.

We used to burn a lot of incense in our old apartment because there was a perpetual damp smell to it. There's no smell in our new place, so we don't burn it too much.

Don't burn a lot of it, otherwise it just reaks.

My absolute favorite incense was this Indian kind I got from this metaphysical shop near my high school... It wasn't a big brand name type deal (like Nag Champa), and I couldn't find out what the actual name was, so when the shop closed down, I could never find it again. SO sad.

There's a brand of incense that is sold at like... I don't know.. they might sell it at some grocery stores, and you might find it in a cart in a mall or something- (wtf is it called.. Airs? I think. Relatively big name)- but I like their "Secret Garden" scent a lot. It's not totally flowery or anything, but it's got a really nice smell.

I'll try to find the name of that Indian incense (for you AND for me because I want some more of that shit. I used to burn it in my car so I'd always smell it. haha)

Most places here in Chicago burn nag champa. Its the hip thing.

But hell, I'm not complaining. :D
