View Full Version : 'I'm ready' sucks
Siva rules 07-05-2005, 09:21 AM To my opinion this is the album's worst song.
It has this Adore type of drumming like in Dusty + Pistol Pete (which I didn't like either).
Time to bring Jimmy back in the picture to supply Billy with some kick ass drumming like in the good old days.
automata 07-05-2005, 09:31 AM I dont like the song much either. I would have rather seen tilt on than this.
tomthum81 07-05-2005, 09:33 AM its still one of my favs from the album... i guess im just weird
vbshlofbvgos 07-05-2005, 09:36 AM i think its a good song.

yeah, I don't like it much either, but I have to admit that I enjoy it, alongside 'A100' when I'm going somewhere and just striding to their regular rhythm
DeadOpera 07-05-2005, 11:13 AM yeah it's really gay
Rockin' Cherub 07-05-2005, 12:06 PM even worse than to love somebody.
I'm totally fine with it. The one I want to get rid of besides Sorrows is All Things Change.
teh b0lly!!1 07-05-2005, 01:17 PM i find the first verse to "sorrow" absolutely brilliant
its such a shame it goes downhill after that
youngod 07-05-2005, 03:09 PM man oh man...i love sorrows and im ready...i must be a stupid faget noob or something,,,damn

Siva, on the other hand, RULES!!!
Exactly !!!
Do you think your username is more original, Mr. "pee pee colada"? I think it sounds more like a username on a Papi Sanchez or Marc Anthony messageboard if you ask me.
Justin_c12 07-06-2005, 12:38 PM I really like the song. Call me crazy. The only one I kind of don't like much is Pretty Pretty Star.

tuff gnarl 07-06-2005, 02:00 PM i think the amount of people who say they like "i'm ready" would greatly diminish if someone other than billy corgan wrote and performed it.

this is probably true to most of the songs on TFE.
sadly.

Not a very good point. You could probably say that about most songs. I'm a big Bob Dylan fan, and his originals just don't sound near as good to me unless it's his voice and guitar playing. Billy wrote I'm Ready for his voice and guitar playing. If Mariah Carey did it, then yeah it would probably suck.
Case in Point: Listen to the I Am Sam Soundtrack
tuff gnarl 07-06-2005, 03:31 PM yeah...let me rephrase that a bit. i personally think it's a terrible song on a terrible album. i think many people want to like it simply because they are die-hard corgan fans. it clouds their judgement.
maybe some really do like it. i don't doubt it. but i think there are a lot of people who are really kidding themselves when they talk about how brilliant it is.
Corganist 07-06-2005, 03:57 PM I like I'm Ready. I don't think its the greatest song ever or anything, but its not a terrible song either. Its definitely not worthy of the derision it gets from this board.
The only song on TFE I really still can't get into is Now (and Then). Zzzzzzzzzzz. Bor-ing.

ha, yeah! a good example of how one can take something out of context skillfully ;) http://forums.netphoria.org/wwwboard/icons/icon14.gif
MMBKG 07-07-2005, 01:03 AM I didn't really get into it before I saw it live.
DisarmZigZag 07-07-2005, 10:12 AM 75% of TFE SUCKS. He trys to hard to not sound like SP.
