The Pearl Jam fan community made this and it has gotten great word of mouth. I was thinking earlier tonight that I would post this hear and see what everybody thought about maybe making one for The Pumpkins. Just a thought.

This project contains 10 CDs worth of live Pearl Jam material. *******d in this compilation is a version
of every original song they have played live, as well as most of the covers they have performed live.

The Pearl Jam community has been blessed over their years with a tremendous wealth of live material. It
has come in many forms, from several audience recordings to FM broadcasts to official bootlegs released by
the band itself. This project is an attempt to give you the cream of the crop from these recordings.

The versions chosen were collectively determined by several members of the Red Mosquito forum
(http://www.red-mosquito.de/phpBB2/index.php), a Pearl Jam Web fansite. The process took over half a year
to complete in its entirety. Soundboard or FM recordings took priority unless no such recording existed
for a certain song. This project was originally distributed on Red Mosquito's sister site, The Sky I
Scrape (http://www.theskyiscrape.com/) , via Bit Torrent.

The order of the songs on the CDs was determined by the order in which the song was first played live.
This is not necessarily the order of which the songs were first released on a studio album. Examples of
this ******* Brain Of J (released on Yield in 1998, first played live three years before on 11/2/1995)
and Low Light (also released on Yield in 1998, first played live three years after on 10/21/2001). CD
artwork has also been provided for each of the 10 CDs. Each JPG has a symbol and a font that signifies
the era of the songs on the CD.

What does everybody think of doing something like that for The Pumpkins?

Good idea but I doubt anyone would put forth the effort.

Probably because the Pumpkins have done wayyyy too many songs, and also some songs they've done live have probably not been bootlegged (like from the Double Door show before MCIS)

Actaully, we were talking about this quite some time ago on the hub, people were interested for a little while and then forgot about it.

I have fairly decent copies of most every song of their albums, I'd have to find the dvd they are on, and they are all mp3's, but I'll donate what I can if anyone is interested.

I did this myself actually. I have one live version of every song they ever performed that is on an album. The only songs I do not have are Spaced and Tales of a Scorched Earth which were both played as teases. If you count Pisces, Whir is the only song from Gish to Machina that was never played (not including TAFH/Machina II/ Judas 0).

Alot of songs have really shitty versions though. The only version I could find of Daydream is terrible and its bad enough to where I can't tell if its her voice or the recording. Hello Kittykat, Farewell & Goodnight, The Imploding Voice, Crying Tree are all terrible versions.

I would like to help out in this. And, there are some decent versions of HKK out there.

there is a kicking fucking version of F&G from some 96 show where whomever was on keyboards jams for an additional 30 seconds. it rules.

good quality too.

in other news... umm... I doubt there's much of an interest in it. Most people who'd be interested in the cool covers / rarely done songs already have a copy of them.

I'd be down to help but I doubt there's much interest in it.

Silverfuck and Transmission would be their own disc.

I would be interested in hearing that if you could send it. The show I have is poor quality and Billy is saying at the end "Goodnight Jimmy! You gonna make it to the van?"
