4. Pavement - Slanted & Enchanted

And there goes SPIN's credibility. The fact that this album ranked higher than so many other albums is a joke.

WTF? Both Mellon Collie and Siamese Dream should be on that stupid list...And Siamese Dream should be at least in the top ten.

like with all lists, you say these things, but some of those bands cant even hold a candle to tool and tool didnt even make the list with aenema.

thats the biggest flaw of the list i reckon.

personally id like to see helmet and deftones on there aswell

Negative.

Plus Spin never had any credibility to begin with.

In terms of the "greatest" albums, Nevermind, Ten, Superunkown, Mellon Collie, and Dirt should be lined up as the first five, although maybe not in that order.

I could not agree with this quote more. As you can see by the list it is about albums that made headway into their niche first. MCIS usually never outranks SD because SD was first...Paul's Boutique made headway into sampling first...The Downward Spiral over the Fragile? The Downward Spiral was first...I am still scratching my head over the Battle of Los Angeles over the self titled album, but that is me. Also, they do these lists I swear every 6 months to get a rise out of people...

There is more to music than 90s grunge bands (SP exluded) heh.

They've got Stankonia ahead of Aquemini and ATLiens... proving Spin doesn't know shit about Outkast. Pretty weak list overall.

90. Sonic Youth - Sister Ding. Amazing album, completely deserving of an entry on the list. Daydream Nation also deserves its spot, but it was a lot more obvious of a choice.
