my buddy at cbs came through for me - i got this on a betacam sp master tape straight off the cbs satellite feed. i would imagine that this would be the highest quality version available, unless someone got it straight off an hd feed. if i can figure out how to distribute it, i will. hub maybe? i've never done a torrent before, but i'm willing to learn. i've already digitized the performance using a sony pvw-2800 (component out) > final cut pro (uncompressed video codec, 48kHz audio). i'll encode it as a dvd tonight using the highest bitrate possible with dvd studio pro. any suggestions for distribution?

i still have several old pumpkins tv performances (leno, letterman, snl, etc) on betacam sp masters as well - i just need to dig them up and digitize them. so this dvd might have a couple of bonuses on it as well....

Fucking sweet. I think the guy that capped the BC Letterman said they didnt broadcast it in HDTV or something.

If you are going to release all that stuff, BitTorrent is the BEST way. The Hub is crap and limits the amount of people that can DL. Making a torrent is easy too. There are tons of FAQs out there.

I thought the preformance mix was very strong, in comparison to his past performance. It seemed like every note was spot on.

right now, i'm still fighting with dvd studio pro.... i can't seem to get the bitrate down exactly right. i'd like to keep the bitrate as high as possible, so once i get that all sorted out, it'll probably go on either dimeadozen or kerrazytorrents. i'll let everyone know once it's up and running.

Awesome. I hope you decided to ******* that Kiss video also. I'm pretty sure that I've never seen that before. I have the show on cd, one of my favorites. The setlist is great.
