Yeah!

zwan was a good band that released a pretty solid album, but it just comes to show that billy is better off solo (perhaps with jimmy still on the side tho) . . . MSOTS was fine but suprisingly not progressive. it seemed like a step back from machina and adore. TFE however picks up where he left off with the pumpkins.

in other words: his solo effort is the true successor to the pumpkins, not zwan -- that was just a nice little sideshow

This is insane but I voted for Mary Star. It has some awesome stuff and the less than awesome stuff is better than BC's average stuff, which is over 50% of his album in my opinion. I was just thinking of what I would put on an EP of his album and I only found 4-5 songs I would keep. I would hate to lose Mina Loy or A100 though.

i find it pretty hard to decide... on the one hand, Zwan had this genuine rock feel to it, it was very expressive and at times even powerful. i really miss the guitarwork on zwan, it's adorable. and it was a straight-forward album, without much place left for interpretation, as the songs had a certain feeling.

TFE is ambiguous in the sense that the songs vary and i feel very comfortable with this musical diversity... they do not bring so straight-forward conotations. what is sad in a song for one person, can be happy for another. it's much more elaborate album.

the zwan album was pretty boring and that was a lot better than this
