Former Smashing Pumpkins/Zwan frontman Billy Corgan will ******* Australia on his upcoming world tour.
The tour kicks of June 1 in Lisbon, Portugal with the Australian leg kicking in on July 26 in Melbourne.
Corgan is mounting his first ever solo tour to promote his debut solo album The Future Embrace which is due on June 27.
Of the album Corgan says "Many people assume when I do more progressive work that I am trying to move away from something, when honestly what I am trying to do is get closer to who I really am. I tried to sum up all my feelings about my life and the world around me in the most beautiful ways I could dream up. It is easy to be negative, and much harder to find that silver lining behind the clouds of modern society."
The album *******s a cover of the Bee Gees 'To Love Someobody' and special guests Robert Smith from the Cure and his former Smashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlain.
Tickets for the Australian leg of the tour go on sale June 8.
