Heya!

I gotta transfer some stuff from my Sharp MD MT-877 to my home PC. I have an old Soundblaster 32 at this moment. What would you recommend me to get? I'm very interested in one with digital input at a reasonable price.

Thanks,
-AZVD.

it is rather cheap (about 80 EUR) and
i think it's really good and i had absolutely no problems with it. i just don't know how available it is outside of europe...

Zoltrix Nightengale Pro 6. About $40-$50, 5.1 channel audio, spdif in/out, toslink in/out.

Yeah, this is a nice card. I think I'm having a problem with the analog line in being a bit wierd. . . No one replied to my previous post though, so I don't know that it's the card. Anyway, for the money, I'd say that Zoltrix is the way to go for a digital sound card.

Got one too at about 90€, it has a 97db signal to noise ratio and looks well constructed. I think santa cruz has a card based on the same cirrus chip like hercules theater has too.
If you have some more cash, i'd go for a envy based card (over ~105db) s/nlike the terratec 96/24 (true 96khz/24bit unlike the *censored* audigy) wich will have a lt cheaper version without the front panel (but also rear tos-link connectors) for about 150 usd.

Useless info: I bought it for cd>md, it comes with a 2wire cable for you to connect to your cd player and play it directly to the md via tos-link. subcode info (as tracks changes) being copied only depends of your cd-rom, my asus dvd 16x couldnt do it, but no problems for the yamaha e3200 burner)
