Anyway of transferring an ASF Webcast file into an AVI or even better an MPG file as i have the 05.23.00 with average vcd picture quality and excellent sound but cant automatically use the asf file extension to create any type of video disk an suggestions????

Cheers my friend, i've used that site before but he trouble is it doesnt let you know if theres a way of going from ASF>another Format. Maybe theres not but the webcast i have is really cool and i'd love to get it on VCD/SVCD/DVD!

Yes, it does let you know this.

Drill down into some of the guides. You'll find that with an early version of VirtualDub, you're able to open an asf and save to a different format. (avi). Then use tmpgenc to encode to vcd-standard mpeg.
