OK, here's the deal: I have SBC DSL here, and have my own modem (a 2Wire or somesuch).

In Harrisburg, we will be getting Verizon DSL.

My question: Will this modem work with the Verizon service? If not, I'll just trash this one and leave it here/not worry about packing it. If so, awesome and I won't worry about getting another modem.

So, when I get up there and they activate my DSL, I should be good to go? Just plug the modem in and be online again?

It's not a modem. It's either a bridge or a router. Harrisburg PA?

Anyway, if you stick with the same company then generally you can use the same hardware.

And, yes, Harrisburg, Pa. I'm moving there Thursday!
