It's pretty shitty that they don't let you buy a lot of the longer songs individually. What kind of crap are they trying to pull?

yeah, and it's gonna suck for the people who want to buy TAFH from the b-side collection, cause iTunes will probably try to make them buy them all

They mention Auf Der Maur on the Canadian iTunes main page for some reason.
If you just love the work of U2, The Tragically Hip, Diana Krall, or Auf der Maur, you’d probably like to know when one of their songs or albums arrive at the iTunes Music Store, Then you’ll be anxious to try out a new store feature, With “Artist Alerts”, you’ll receive email as soon as music from your favourite artists gets added to the Store. It’s a great way to stay informed.

Uh. Ever stop and think that it's the record label or whoever owns distribution rights to the music who dictates how the music is sold on iTunes?

Virgin was holding their artists for "Virgin Digital" but that service is a flop...hence, the cross-platform distribution.

Yeah but it's probably better than Real/Rhapsody, MusicMatch, Napster, Sony Connect, WalMart.com, MusicNet/AOL and MSN.
