he's right about Set the Ray to Jerry.

Ha when Corgan talks about things being completely different , there is going to be a thousand idiots on here complaining he's not SP enough anymore.

When I read this I realize that there is no chance of me disliking the album. I simply love the man.

i know what you're sayin'!

man, i was hoping it'd be really rockin'.......but this "not agressive" think makes me think it'll be like "baby, let's rock" which isn't a good or a bad thing, it's just there....

right, which is stupid imo

why do you even want a musician to sound exactly the same? that gets very boring. but billy is never boring, so that is why i am still excited about TheFutureEmbrace.

and i'm happy about him touring. i will definitley see him either in Milwaukee or Chicago.

Is no one here just totally stoked about a crackle free version of Purr Snickety besides me? Although the crackling does add a sort of charm to the song...

Anyone know how they are going to do the 200 songs digitally? I figure someone on the board must know.

So far the album has been described as "futuristic rock", which sounds like MACHINA. It's been described as electronic, which sounds like "Adore". And now "loud but not aggressive", which sounds like Mary Star of the Sea.

Hopefully this combination will yield something that sounds nothing like any of these.

We're also looking at a very short album, maybe forty or fifty minutes. He said in an interview that all of the songs are under four minutes.

(Sorry for the double post)

Also, if there are 200 songs going to be made available, then what are they going to be? Don't post that list from the other thread also, because that was only about 115 songs if I remember. Go to SPFC and do the math with the songs...approx 360 total Pumpkins tunes...subtract out the approx. 180 that are "unreleased" and that leaves a gap...any thoughts, or am I just looking at this the wrong way?

i am just hoping that after this which im all like hyped for, that he goes into releasing stuff constantly, like EP's and shit. i mean he is a solo artist now, he can do that shit easily now.

The crackle is on the original recording, I helped Starseed determine this. Hopefully there was a mistake and this iTunes version actually WILL be crackle free though.

Actually what I meant was the crackle is not due to vinyl.

I don't have very high hopes for the album in the aspect of international/critical acclaim. But I know it will rock 'cause it will be Billy.

Just thinking about the media and critics when Billy has brought out new material, it will always be compared to his best work, and a lot of the times brought down or dismissed...but I know Billy doesn't care for popular opinion/tastes nowadays.

I just hope it isn't like when Adore was released...seemed like everyone was like  and :erm: as it was too different or unexpected.

It can't be that bad if Robert Smith got involved.

We just need to have a little faith in Billy.
