It's the first single. They already shot the video, that is how the clip got leaked. They asked a bunch of people in SoCal to show up at their shoot to be in the video. Some guy recorded the song with his phone. My roommate feels compelled to tell me things about Weezer.

I heard some of the song and it is fucking atrocious. Like 1000x worse than any song on the green album.

You either heard a decent sounding 10 second clip from a radio promo, or a horrible sounding cell-phone voicemail clip that you can barely hear (unless you've heard a clip of the song that the rest of the world hasn't, in which case please share). I don't think that 10 seconds of any song is enough to make a judgment of its atrociousness.

That said, I liked the 10 seconds of the song I heard...but then again I like Green and Maladroit too. I don't have my hopes up for the new album being Pinkerton-level based on hearing the clip, but my hopes aren't destroyed either.

It's a 10 second radio clip from Kroq. The full song should leak in the next couple days.

The video was shot at the Playboy Mansion. About 100 lucky fans were put into some buses and taken to a secret location which just happened to be the Playboy Mansion.
