Punkishlyevil 03-05-2005, 03:38 PM The song is Taproot, or at least thats what it goes by. From what I know it was taken off the D13 server (the company who made the Pumpkins and Zwan's website). Punkishlyevil 03-05-2005, 03:38 PM I'll send you guys the video on AIM if you want. I think this is like spring 2004 or somthing like that, right? Haha, if he puts stuff like this on his own solo record, I may even consider buying it! How much he could charge them for the collaboration (for six days)? Haha, I may break my savings' pig and if he writes for me a song like that, I may consider hiring him (I hope I could put together enough money for at least few hours)! Watch out, Billy, here I come! teh b0lly!!1 03-05-2005, 03:57 PM is this solo bc or a hidden pumpkins song? this fucking thread made my computer freeze twice but the song is beautiful :) teh b0lly!!1 03-05-2005, 03:59 PM holy shit the song is really fucking beautiful :( i honestly, genuinely cant wait for his record to come out Spaldz 03-05-2005, 04:01 PM I've had the audio and video since the day it was leaked RopeyLopey 03-05-2005, 04:02 PM Originally posted by Spaldz I've had the audio and video since the day it was leaked I ain't cool like that! Spaldz 03-05-2005, 04:02 PM which was 15th April 2004. RopeyLopey 03-05-2005, 04:03 PM Originally posted by Spaldz which was 15th April 2004. so is it that song he penned for Taproot, then? Spaldz 03-05-2005, 04:18 PM Originally posted by RopeyLopey so is it that song he penned for Taproot, then? "apparently" but it doesn't seem very taproot like. It was the filename of the track when it was leaked so people assume he had written it for taproot or something. Punkishlyevil 03-05-2005, 04:18 PM Originally posted by Spaldz which was 15th April 2004. It was earlier. When I look at mine in Explorer in detailed view, it says last modified 3/31/2004. I think its probably even earlier than that, though I don't know. My guess is late 2003 or early 2004. Deleted_User 03-05-2005, 04:18 PM Originally posted by RopeyLopey Punkishlyevil is the man. My guess is late 2003 or early 2004. all I found is an article on VH1.com about taproot ,where they say he gave them one song - the date of the article is 16th March 2004 RopeyLopey 03-05-2005, 04:34 PM haha - the following stuff is taken from here:http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=33418 The follow-up to 2002's "Welcome", "Blue-Sky Research" was produced by Michael Beinhorn in Los Angeles and features guest appearances by Billy Corgan (ex-SMASHING PUMPKINS) and Stephen Carpenter (DEFTONES). Songtitles set to appear on the CD ******* "So Eager", "What's Left", "Promise", "Forever Endeavor", "Who's To Say", "Birthday", "She", "Violent Seas", "Stay Away", "Calling" and "June" . June, Promise? Haha, kids, here we go for MACHINA III! Dead 03-05-2005, 05:52 PM Apparently the guy who filmed that almost lost his job due to it leaking on the net, so way to go spreading it around. What are they gonna call him into the office on Monday, open a laptop with netphoria on it, then look at him accusingly and say 'well?' Punkishlyevil 03-05-2005, 06:15 PM Originally posted by Dead Apparently the guy who filmed that almost lost his job due to it leaking on the net, so way to go spreading it around. I remember that. Me and him talked for a while. Somehow though, I don't think it matters anymore. Last year when it got spread around majorly, yeah I understood, but now, whats the point of stopping it, when most everyone who wants it has it. Dude, like what? is he going to release this particular clip on his solo record? Would this stop someone from buying it? april is approaching, bill says nothing, sorry that there are some people (like me) who get somewhat excited/interested about the solo record based on this. If I get the album and I will be asked to point out the moment when I got really interested in buying it in the first place, be it the moment I saw this clip, then! Corganist 03-05-2005, 07:11 PM Wow. I should have my tr00-fan card ripped up. This is the first time I've heard this. Behind the times or not, hearing this made my day.Times like this make me realize that there's no way that I'll be disappointed by Billy's record when it finally comes out. There's just something about hearing the guy's songs that affects me like nothing else. RopeyLopey 03-05-2005, 07:30 PM Originally posted by Corganist Wow. I should have my tr00-fan card ripped up. CrabbMan 03-06-2005, 04:47 AM Isn't it cool how he plays that song like there are two guitar parts? Diamond Dream 03-06-2005, 04:21 PM Originally posted by sweter33 btw, is that studio/live/demo....? dude, scroll down the thread! theres a clip of him in the studio performing it Cool As Ice Cream 03-06-2005, 04:35 PM That's a studio? Looked more like a garage to me. :( Reyngel 03-07-2005, 01:42 AM The song's pretty good, but what really makes it shine is the ending, with him just humming. I'm not so sure Billy was meant to use as much vibrato in his voice as he does in that clip and in in recent years. It just doesn't sound as cool. But the end of this song is very pretty. |
