that video was posted on some site that was taken down minutes after i watched the video and i forgot to save it. he was wearing some crazy russian hat. he may have been playing it on a seven string but it could just be a really detuned electric.

The song is Taproot, or at least thats what it goes by. From what I know it was taken off the D13 server (the company who made the Pumpkins and Zwan's website).

"apparently" but it doesn't seem very taproot like. It was the filename of the track when it was leaked so people assume he had written it for taproot or something.

It was earlier. When I look at mine in Explorer in detailed view, it says last modified 3/31/2004. I think its probably even earlier than that, though I don't know. My guess is late 2003 or early 2004.

all I found is an article on VH1.com about taproot ,where they say he gave them one song - the date of the article is 16th March 2004

I remember that. Me and him talked for a while. Somehow though, I don't think it matters anymore. Last year when it got spread around majorly, yeah I understood, but now, whats the point of stopping it, when most everyone who wants it has it.

Behind the times or not, hearing this made my day.Times like this make me realize that there's no way that I'll be disappointed by Billy's record when it finally comes out. There's just something about hearing the guy's songs that affects me like nothing else.

WOW! This is the first time I have ever heard this song and I fucking loved it! I can only hope that this is gonna be on the solo album, or at least give us a hint as to what the album will sound like. Thanks for posting it!:D

Looked more like a garage to me. :(

The song's pretty good, but what really makes it shine is the ending, with him just humming. I'm not so sure Billy was meant to use as much vibrato in his voice as he does in that clip and in in recent years. It just doesn't sound as cool. But the end of this song is very pretty.
