Schack 03-02-2005, 03:26 AM They played for about 30-40.000 in Tivoli Gardens in 1998, but Glastonbury or Loolapalooza was probably bigger peabody 03-02-2005, 08:59 AM Glastonbury and Reading and Open Air and uh...those types of things, prolly. Silver-bolt 03-02-2005, 10:17 AM what about the rio show from 96. looks like theres a few thousand in that zero_33_79 03-02-2005, 05:41 PM that free show they did..100,000+ people showed up. Dead 03-02-2005, 05:54 PM That time they played for one million people in 1996 somewhere in europe. Mooney 03-02-2005, 11:05 PM the last show they played in canada, i was squished by over 20,000 against the front railing. :D vanilla 03-02-2005, 11:23 PM i'm guessing the free show in Minneapolis . 7-17-98. Schack 03-03-2005, 02:11 AM How about we narrow it down a bit? At those Glastonbury/Loolapalooza/Open air concerts, people dint buy tickets solely to see SP, but to see other bands as well. The Tivoli Garden (an amusement park) here in DK has a special event throughout teh summer called "Friday Night Rock". Each friday a national or international band/artist plays, and you just pay the normal extrance fee to see them, which is 50 DKK (about US$9). The low price ussually attracts huge audiences, and Sting (attraced 50.000+), SP, Cardigans, Boyzone, Elvis Costello + a lot of local bands have playd there.
