For those of you who need to stock up on CDRs Best Buy is running a special on Memorex CDRs $9.99 after mail in rebate.

Be aware that there are two types of Memorex 100 CDR spindles. Check the label carefully as one of them is made in Japan and those read as Taiyo Yuden CDRs. The other is made in Taiwan and I don't know what those read as since I bought the made in Japan type.

Why can´t i have these cool deals here in europe? If i bought 100 cdr`s from TDK or Sony, I`ll pay around $90.00 dollars!!!

I just got 200 (!!!) Lame-ass "Value Disc" Brand CD-R's at Office Max for $5.00. I knew the quality was gonna be crap, but I'm not planning on using them for anything important to my health.

Anybody know what the deal with TDK's is? I've been having problems finding them anywhere lately... they're just fishy.

Are Taiyo Yudens the ones that have that golden color to them? Where it's very hard to see the burn outline... and generally you see the shade on Imations, but lately they've been on all different brands.

Na chip7 consegue-se encontrar Sony por 0.63€. Por vezes, quando os compro, são um misto de Tayo yudens com Mitsui (também penso que são bons)

Nope, estes n são os mmos mitsui q há á venda nos usa importados do jap. São feitos na europa (nada de taiwan ritek's como os tdk em slimbox e os verbatin coloridos lol), o plástico, o layer e a font de impressão dos nºs de ref. parecem-m iguais aos dos sony tbém feitos na europa, por isso devem ser feitos no mesmo complexo industrial. Dqqr maneira, o layer de protecção tbém me parece ser bastante resistente (reflectivo "grosso" e baço como os mitsui jap, mas ainda com uma pintura branca por cima de gosto discutível)

Update, a caixa tem uma morada francesa, e descobri isto:

And when Canadians go down to the US to get a cool deal, they get screwed. I had my parents pick up some Fujis at Best Buy while they were down there. they cost $39.99 for 100. I always heard these stories of 100 for $9.99 or $1.99 etc..
