jillyZ suggested i suggest that people tape swearing at motorists on their upcoming american/european tours. so, why not?

speech: in my lifetime history of suggesting bands for people to check out, i have never had a "success" rate like i've had with this band. i think only three people of around a dozen have not been very impressed. and the live show is highly entertaining. so just go, and if you hate it, then we'll talk about me reimbursing you. but judging from past experience you will probably want to thank me instead. haha.

I've seen Swearing at Motorists a few times and the guy records his shows using a minidisc and an AT822 (I think). I'll try to hit the Houston show if I have enough cash on me that day...

dave doughman works his derrière off. when he's not off being guided by voices' soundman, he's touring with s@m. wait two months and i guarantee he'll be at a small, seedy bar in your hometown.

well, i've just noticed a lot of bands have very sparse east coast dates a lot of times.
typically you'll see a lot of dates up and down california and the west coast (though the plains states with larger acts are typically very ignored too)..
but the east coast there'll usually be maybe florida... then atlanta.. then maybe nc. then dc probably. then jump up to like philly, nyc, boston.
it just seems like bands play more shows closer together on the west coast to me?

though, of course, it's not nearly as bad as europe.. bands will play several shows in a country that's not much bigger than one of our states, but will only play a handful of shows on our entire coast.
