Ryan Adams is playing two shows there next month, Oct 15 and 16.

I want to try and convince my sister to videotape it if I can't make it. Anyone familiar w/ the security there? Do they allow taping? I'd probably have a videocamera in a bag just sitting about aimed at the stage if I stealth.


I e-mailed the venue asking if they allow taping and mentioned Ryan is open taping.. wish me luck.

I've seen him playing in Paris in a private show... really boring and pretentious...
Watching that show on hi-8, damn, you must be crazy...

For that show in Paris, the security was searching for recorders so...

I taped a tour ending show for Local H there last spring, who is taper friendly btw. From what I saw at the time and heard later, the security are assholes. As it turned out there were quite a few people there taping who all got caught, except me. One of them was using video. The strangest part is everyone that was caught were taping from the balcony, how I escaped capture I'll never know, luck I guess. At one point, the security gaurd that was fucking with everyone was standing right behind me and still didn't notice me. I guess I'm better at it than I thought! Some friends of mine were also kicked out of the show completely for smoking weed. My advice to you is audio tape it if you want, but be very careful cause those guards sneek up on you quick. But video taping is asking for trouble. I talked to just about everyone who was caught at that show later, thier gear was confinscated during the show, but they all got it back. Personally I'd leave a show before I'd give up my gear to some fat fuck of a wannabe cop shithead.

Wasn't too bad, normal pat down along the sides. I dread the day some security guard gets a little frisky and figures out what else is down my pants.
