One of my favorites b-sides! A radio single? I wouldn't go that far because I can't even imagine it being on MCIS.

I only became a big fan of SP around 98
One day I was at work and a girl I worked with came and worked in my section for that day which she didn't usually
I had the Adore CD playing
She was like OMG Smashing Pumpkins I love Smashing Pumpkins
I even got the box set
I'm like...box set...wtf?
(At this time I had no internet access, new fan, etc.)
She lent it to me saying that Pennies was her favourite
I liked it first listen and has been a big favourite ever since

Great tune, I love the drumming on there. You can really hear a lot of the subtler things that Jimmy is capable of.

My favorite is that

it's a pity we're apart
it's a shame you broke my heart
but i've got a new girlfriend
she looks a lot like you dear

bit. Good stuff.

one of the most brilliantly structured songs by bc in my opinion.
i think the reason that its so great is just because its so b-sideish and intimate in complete contrast to the bombast of the mellon collie sound.
its just a great little song. like stumbleine.
also, fun to noodle to :)

I love Pennies a lot. It's one of my favorite songs.

Just by glancing at the tab, I can say it's mostly wrong. The first part has the right chords but the picking pattern is all wrong.

waht ever happend to taht Brian Obscured guy, he made the best tabs on the internet I think you like this song because it mentions money even in its title and you work for company dealing with money. It's sub-conscious link, you can't deny it.

What happened to Brian? He grew up!

Uh, and regarding the tab, SPFC is not working for me now, but they keep all his tabs. If I remember well, Pennies were accurate. But you should never fall for this guy completely; I remember his 33 tab and Sweet Sweet were totally off. He sometimes put the song into a strange tuning just in order to tab it differently than people did it before.

Yeah that's also one of my favorites but I've never really related it to those two. They're somehow like a pair to me. That's weird cause they aren't even from the same era.

It's a great little song. The story about how the best take was lost because someone forgot to press record is funny and sad at the same time.
