everyone else is doing it, so now it's my turn.
i'm sure a lot of you now have at least heard of explosions in the sky by now.
there are, of course, the euro dates. who knows what will come out of those tape-wise.
they announced their post-euro US dates yesterday and i (as i'm sure others are) are looking for tapers.
the dates are:
th. oct. 24 Akron, OH @ Lime Spider (w/ Kilowatthours)
fr. oct. 25 Pittsburgh, PA @ Mr. Roboto Project (w/ Kilowatthours)
sa. oct. 26 Ithaca, NY @ Cornell University (w/ Kilowatthours)
su. oct. 27 Boston, MA @ TT the Bear's Place (w/ Kilowatthours)
sa. nov. 2 Swarthmore, PA @ Swarthmore College (w/ Kilowatthours)
su. nov. 3 Philadelphia, PA @ TBA (w/ Denali)
mo. nov. 4 Baltimore, MD @ Ottobar
tu. nov. 5 Chapel Hill, NC @ Go Studios
we. nov. 6 Atlanta, GA @ The Earl (w/ Karate, Maserati)
th. nov. 7 Athens, GA @ Tasty World
fr. nov. 8 New Orleans, LA @ Mermaid Lounge
sa. nov. 9 Austin, TX @ Emo's (w/ Lift to Experience, Robots Please)
now here's what's covered.
i'm pretty sure i can get one of two people to cover ithaca.
i have someone that i can ask for akron.
i may personally go to pittsburgh, but i also have a person i can ask to tape pittsburgh.
i will probably do the swarthmore pa show, but i probably can't miss class on monday, so the philly show on sunday i probably can't hit.
i'll almost definitely be hitting the baltimore and chapel hill shows, though.
i'm sure there will be another taper or two at chapel hill as well.
i'm assuming at that austin is covered by at least andrew.
so basically here are the ones that aren't "defiintely" covered:
akron
boston
philly
atlanta
athens
new orleans
i'll gladly pay for your ticket if you're in the area of one of those shows and will tape it for me. there's quite a few of us who are interested in collecting eits shows, so i'm sure you can get quite a few trades for it if you do tape.
ideally, i will have new mics for these shows too. now that i have a set date, i have a time frame to work for.
