it doesn't feel weird, because i know she's completely impulsive and exactly the kind of person who would do this kind of thing.

at work because i see a lot of different kinds of marriages, people like 1 year in, people with kids real early, people married a long time, kids, etc. etc. they all seem to recommend having your fun while you're young and the concensus seems to be that getting married early (like.. younger than thirty) these days is kinda risky. and they want me to stay single for as long as possible so they can live vicariously through me.

lots of people in my family that are my parents age got married around 21-24, and they say it seemed like a good idea at the time, but they couldn't imagine it today, too young. it is funny looking at their wedding photos and realizing i'm older than they were!

Yeah. My best friend has a kid (she just turned 20) and is getting married in October.

Another friend of mine got married in June or something of 04 (she was 18) and got pregnant RIGHT THEN. She's living in the ghetto of Killeen and is due in March or something.

Ugh.

A lot of my friends are either married, engaged or in long-term relationships. It's weird having friends with kids too, it sort of makes me feel like a bit of a loser because I'm eons away from all of that.

I have already done this, sort of. I haven't dated in forever and I don't even look anymore. I just don't have the motivation, though it would be nice to have someone to go places with and just have around.

i'm 25 so a lot of people i know are marrying.

The weirdest though was this girl i went to highschool with - she is 26 with 5 kids. no joke. White trash all the way. I sort of wish she wasent - i feel sad looking at her with all her bratty kids and her fat husband.

there's this girl that my sister went to school with, and she got married at the age of 18 and pretty much got married only because she was pregnant.

the sad thing was, her husband (also around the age of 18) was a complete ass. i work at a pet store...and they came into the store, and she looked to be about 7 or 8 months pregnant, and they buy some kitty litter....and after paying for it, he picks up the 40lb bag of cat litter and says "here, you carry it. " and practically throws it into her arms, the bag goes like, slamming down on her stomach. ugh.

i felt sorry for her but she seemed pretty stupid, too....

the only girl who i knew that married because she was pregnant ended up being beaten by her husband. i don't know how that all turned out. i think she went back to her family and proceeded to raise the kid.

edit: I read through the whole thread because i wanted to delete this post, thinking somebody must've commented on the joke.

anyway...since all you people took this discussion seriously... none of my really close friends are married... there's a couple who's been together since high school and they plan on getting married once they both finish school in a couple of years, and another friend of mine told me she's engaged, but the wedding's in 2006...so...all these people will be in their mid 20s if not older once they get married.
