I know for me it was.. I saw a lot of different people, went a lot of places, smoked a lot of stuff and watched movies and played games, just as Dr. King would have wanted.

What exactly is the point of these MLK threads of yours? It's like you you really want to say something but you're just holding back.

It's the last official "everyone off work" holiday until July 4th.

I thought people might have had a good time

mine was pretty good. i didn't get off work but that's alright. then on the way home i bought a new hat and gloves, since i'd lost mine, and stopped by some friends' apartment. i watched Dr. King speak a bit on tv at the gym after my workout and it made me sad that there isn't a strong black motivator like him today. that guy was cool as hell. then i went home in an attempt to get high and watch more Dr. King, but he was nowhere to be found on my 600 channels, so I watched BBC World News and David Letterman (minus the Fockers porn star). i was pleasantly suprised to find Dave funny, i like him a ton but i'd seen a few lame shows recently, so this meant a lot.

for nothing to have happened, it was an enjoyable evening.

it seems like a fair amount of people didn't have it off.

i woke up around 11 am and felt godly for doing so, then i ate some protein and went into the office cause that's how i do.

i worked for like 3 hours, then i ate some taco bell and went to the gym. i ran 1.6 miles on the elliptical machine (hey, my knee is gettinga little better u jerks!!) then i lifted weight, whilst eating a protein bar.

then i went to jamba juice and got a smoothie with double protein and drove home and showered.

then i ate a protein bar and drank an odwalla superfood thing and drove to the city to have a meeting with my buddy for this project he is doing, and that went well.

this girl from phoenix called me and it was a little strange/boring.

then i drove home and watched entourage on hbo on demand with my roommates and liked it a lot.

i then ironed a shirt and went to sleep.

Called off work and attempted to study for finals. Only worthwhile thing I did was order a TV from Best Buy that I gotta pick up on friday, with help, cause it weighs like 200 lbs.

Fabulous. I talked to my boyfriend on the phone for a long time. I smoked a few bowls with my good friend in lieu of the occasion. I did a lot of homework. I watched a special about him on TV.

i got to ride the ambulance for 15 hours, it was a ton of fun

my first patient was a transvestite prostitute with HIV who had a busted nose after someone attacked them at the bus stop. i got to go on 8 other calls after that and hang at the fire station a little bit.

then today i got to go to labor and delivery for 10 hours. i got to witness a natural childbirth and a c section. i thought maybe i would have trouble watching it in person because i am a pansy but i was ok with everything even the c section, so that made me feel a lot better. man kids can make anyone happy.

hey man i am happy but a baby makes everyone else happy. the mom and dad are happy and all the nurses and once the kid is born, everyone just quits worrying for a bit.

Last week I took pictures of Yolanda King (MLK's daughter) at a neighboring university for the my university's newspaper. She did a lecture/ performance thang.
