SilverFhuck 08-15-2002, 01:12 PM Not really a 'what should I tape' post, I've already made most of my picks....but it's about time someone posts about a festival w/ a mad lineup in the US.

Please?
RumoredToTheS&N 08-15-2002, 11:39 PM i wouldn't mind hearing social distortion for old time's sake.
Irrelevant 08-15-2002, 11:44 PM Live sucks dick. the rest of them are mostly good though.
spaceboye 08-18-2002, 09:42 AM A lot of the headling bands are the same every year for street scene. Most of them are either semi sucessful san diego bands like jack johnson or unwritten law, or bands that live in and are from southern california like cake and social distortion. Jack johnson plays everywhere here and they promote it every time like he is so wonderful and it is a show not to be missed. Having coldplay come and play here *again* isn't gonna do it either. We need to get some cool bands for this street scene shin-dig. With a shitty lineup like this, it's no suprise that I will find myself not attending this year, again.
darcy_is_sexy 08-19-2002, 06:48 PM Can someone please tape Les Claypool's Hendrix tribute? I love everything that man has ever done.
Lunadisarm 08-19-2002, 06:56 PM Duuuude, Black Eyed Peas!
nevermind 08-19-2002, 07:02 PM STP is great. but a horrible live act as of lately. seriously, someone needs to inform them that they dont need to cater to the fans who wont get thier asses out of the grunge days. dissapointing setlists mainly, which are virtually the same as 6 or 7 years ago.

spaceboye 08-24-2002, 05:34 PM Simple things? I don't get it. http://www.netphoria.org/wwwboard/smile.gif
But if I'm wrong, I'm wrong.
My point was that street scene is mostly a bunch of bands who play there year after year, or have recently played in san diego and are coming back. That's it. No need to get rude, Mike.

SO friggin' true. They play the crappiest setlists lately... they should just go for it and dive into their newer Shangri-La, etc. stuff. There's so much meat there...
But, yea... the 21+ thing sucks.
