They've got the link on the homepage now - they didn't put it there until the show started.

lol they put "honestly" to download on their official website

Host: and for the next thirty minutes, we will play avril lavigne, nickelback, and creed because of billy corgan's wishes not to be viewed online.

I don't blame him one bit. This is a good "gotcha back!" for you idiots who released Mashed Potatoes and other tapes and also leaked Machina 2 months before it came out in stores. I agree with this move 100%.

Also don't forget about some of the last Metro show being released. If the fans could learn to behave properly, they would get rewarded. Otherwise, Billy is going to make their life very difficult.

Seeing as the band is open taping and supposed to put the Vegas show online soon, it seems unlikely they are worried about live songs from the album spreading. But then again I can't think of a good reason why they would not participate, so whatever. Ruined my Friday night.

Mr. Restroom TP Refiller YOU HAVE PROBLEMS

i bet corgan isn't even comfortable with his new songs. also we all know that machina II was an i-net release album.. and MP, like he could give a crap

eyeofmourning

my first thought is that he was pissed because mp leaked. maybe, maybe not?

hahahah.....I came home early from a nice dinner just to catch them...then when I saw trustcompany I was all, "what the heck? they were supposed to go on hours ago"...then I saw the disclaimer and *ping!* realized the great Billy had done it again. It's funny in a very depressing sort of way. Hope they played a good set. Wish I could have been there. Were they even on the radio? I thought KROQ broadcasted that as well....maybe it was a different situation for the radio...but I doubt it.

who cares if a little bit of mp was leaked
i dont think he was pissed about that, i wouldn't give a rat fuck if a few demos and live songs that would never see the light of day were leaked. plus, it gave moleaskiss, a great song.
did he ever say he was angry about that? even if he did, i doubt he held a 10 year grudge....

I heard from someone that this is the work of Reprise, because the album isn't out yet -- so not necessarily Billy's fault.

I'm confused as to why people are calling this a classic Billy move anyways. Isn't he usually all for this type of thing? Meh.

Refiller meant that Machina: The Machines of God was leaked 2 months before it's release date....he wasnt referring to Machina II....the 2 after Machina just confused you, when the 2 was part of "2 months" lol

MonteLDS

if corgan was upset about that a record was leaked 2 months early, he needs to talk to his record company, and tell them he would wish them not to send out promo copy of the albums...

i'm pretty certain that Reprise is mainly at fault. i don't see why all of a sudden Billy would be against a webcast of 6 songs just because an album hasn't been released yet. he didn't have a problem with open taping last November, December, and April. But remember, during those months, Zwan was without a record label.

my question is, how the hell is a webcast going to ruin the release of an upcoming album? blocking a webcast isn't going to stop the album from being leaked before it's release

Maybe the record company thinks the album blows, and they're worried that a pre-taste of Zwan will scare fans away. Heh.
