View Full Version : for smokers, would you give up smoking for a significant other?
spa ced 12-04-2004, 10:43 PM The current guy I'm crushing on has a problem with smokers.
I've become a smoker within the past couple months so luckily I'm not *that* hooked yet and could probably stop rather easily.
Has anyone here had to give up smoking for a special someone?
do you like those new holiday camel flavours?
El Savior 12-04-2004, 10:45 PM i thought i would. but i didn't. i couldn't. didn't have to. then she started smoking.
all my ex girlfriends were smokers..I don't smoke and I don't like smoking, but I know its a hard thing to cut so I don't really pressure them to quit, but I'll voice my opinion every now and then...I'll always make her brush her teeth before she kisses me or anything

Shouldn't you want to give up smoking for yourself before you give it up for anybody else?

If love is a motivation to do something healthy, I can't object to that. But any religious considerations aside for a moment, people find they are better at loving other people once they've learned to truly love themselves.

while the site has a lame setup, the fact is that he has pretty much dyed his mouth red and is shitting blood red liquid all the time.
I think it's hilarious

iz all.
DieDiemydarling 12-05-2004, 01:51 AM my god you guys are unhealthy.
murgle 12-05-2004, 02:10 AM we both smoke :)

Quagmire 12-05-2004, 04:11 AM smoking is dirty and gross. i tell dusty everytime i see her
Affectation 12-05-2004, 04:31 AM Yes. If they expressed that they would like me to quit. It would all depend on the quality of the relationship and person. Simple sacrifices like that wouldn't be a hard decision.

nothing would could me happier than getting a 3.0 this semester and then not going home long for christmas. nothing could ruin my life more than getting below 3
Blue*Carbonite 12-05-2004, 10:07 AM No.
pink_ribbon_scars 12-05-2004, 10:21 AM i did, more or less. i was smoking 1-5 cigs a day before my last big relationship, and he hated them so i quit. but replacing it with just as much pot is fairly comical, in my opinion. i enjoyed it, but it's not the smartest plan.

morphinebitch 12-05-2004, 12:39 PM no. it's my choice.
