Not out til January, I think. I just got it a few days ago and I have to agree. I was going to make the exact same post.

I got the Drums and Singing From Mt. Eerie albums, I've only listen to them once. The Drums one was neat from what little I've heard, but I'm pretty sure the Singing album will take a while to sink in (if that even happens).

I want to hear this now.

Wildly inconsistent band, so I'm kind of worried how it'll sound over a skimpy five songs...

It's not that bothersome on Glow pt. 2, because for all the crap on the thing, there are fantastic songs like I Want Wind to Blow, title track, and I Felt Your Shape that overshadow the rest.

heh. i remember when i saw them in spokane. there were like. 30 people there. and like. it was very consufing, b/c no one was really sure who the microphones actually were, b/c the bands kept like..morphing...and then there would be solo sets and....uh..

nevermind. i'm a retard.

it was neat, though. i was so the most hipsterish person there.

i saw them two years ago, opening for modest mouse.

it went like this:

mirrah---->microphones--->phil solo/microphones--->microphones full band with pall from black heart procession--->mirrah solo again

and then the black heart procession came on

I'm actually pretty confident this next release will be quality. I think each new album has vastly improved upon it's predecesor - as wonderful as 'It Was Hot...' sounded when it was released, it can't hold a candle to 'The Glow Pt. 2'. Well, maybe 'The Glow' can, but heh, that's one beautiful song.

Best Looking Boy: If you could upload Singing and Drums to the FTP, I'll put up Mt. Eerie and the Blood LP.

BTW, your tape's going out tomorrow.
