View Full Version : Anyone know anything about Colorado? sppunk 11-16-2004, 02:44 PM If so, what's nicer: Estes Park or Vail? Isle 11-16-2004, 02:45 PM south park lol lo;l avian chaos 11-16-2004, 02:55 PM My family used to live there before I was born. Too much snow. ravenguy2000 11-16-2004, 02:55 PM http://www.smileys.ws/sm/sport/00000033.gif tootsie 11-16-2004, 02:57 PM well, youll get more yuppies in vail. sppunk 11-16-2004, 03:01 PM I'm a yuppie, so I don't care about that. But which is prettier? If we go to vail, we'll be staying here http://www.sonnenalp.com/ If we go to Estes Park, we'll be here http://www.romanticriversong.com/ I just wonder how much nicer being on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park will be compared to Vail, when snow isn't on the ground at the lower elevations. sppunk 11-16-2004, 03:02 PM Basically, we want a mountain retreat in a kickass resort or bed and breakfast. boynameddarcy 11-16-2004, 03:04 PM I heard that Aspen is really expensive because the stupid famous people started going there. tootsie 11-16-2004, 03:04 PM dont go to colorado, go to park city, utah. thats a fun place. or big sky, montana red lodge, montana sppunk 11-16-2004, 03:05 PM Originally posted by boynameddarcy I heard that Aspen is really expensive because the stupid famous people started going there. Well, good thing I don't care about Aspen, then. sppunk 11-16-2004, 03:05 PM Originally posted by tootsie dont go to colorado, go to park city, utah. thats a fun place. or big sky, montana red lodge, montana Link me to their best resorts, please. Price no object. Eve 11-16-2004, 03:06 PM over the summer i went to aspen (comparable to vail) and boulder (comparable to estes park). Aspen is beautiful but is also full of yuppies, to the nth degree. i saw ONE black person the whole week i was there. And no one smokes there. craziness. but understandable. Boulder was a lot cooler, the people were cooler and there were a lot of neat shops/restaurants. so as far as JUST beauty was concerned, aspen (or vail, in your case) was better, but it has no atmosphere, if that makes sense. tootsie 11-16-2004, 03:06 PM Originally posted by sppunk Link me to their best resorts, please. Price no object. i really dont know any off the top of my head. im not sure if they have resorts..... tootsie 11-16-2004, 03:07 PM Originally posted by Eve i saw ONE black person the whole week i was there. generally thats typical of the area though, not just vail. sppunk 11-16-2004, 03:10 PM Originally posted by Eve over the summer i went to aspen (comparable to vail) and boulder (comparable to estes park). But the difference is Estes Park is on the lip of the RMNP, whereas Boulder isn't, right? And not smoking is a positive, not a negative. You really have become quite the own-race hater Look, I don't mean to sound racist, but skiing just isn't that popular with black people Go to a basketball court in the Bronx and I don't think you'll see a bunch of white folk either tootsie 11-16-2004, 03:15 PM there just arent a lot of black people in colorado, idaho, montana, utah. thats all there is to it. sppunk 11-16-2004, 03:23 PM Originally posted by tootsie there just arent a lot of black people in colorado, idaho, montana, utah. thats all there is to it. Eve 11-16-2004, 08:17 PM i'm not anti-white. i'm just saying i was surprised to see only one black person. and the only hispanics i saw were construction workers. i figured since it was a fairly populated town, it'd be more racially diverse. i'm used to st. louis. guz 11-17-2004, 01:09 PM i was expecting to see a crack at Kobe in here...:unhappy: Karl Connor 11-17-2004, 01:09 PM estes park ammy 11-17-2004, 03:34 PM Originally posted by Randall Sandell estes park viels is more full of annoying uppity people. though if you are going for your honeymoon, that may be what you want. |
