what's your philosophy about the chances of certain things happening in your life?

Luck is luck. Fate is fate. Luck can be fate, but fate can't be luck.

luck has nothing to do with anything

I don't believe in such a thing as fate. Life is just connected by a lot of coincidences.

that's all life is, is a series of moments

well do you think these moments are 'connected' or 'randomly happening'

is this 'life' just a series of probabilities, or is there something else connecting everything that happens?

and what about universal consciousnesses? are we all connected in some way?

what's premonition and esp if there's no connection?

Of course, if I grew up to be a slore in Mississippi, I wouldn't have much faith in luck either.

neither of them exist outside people's heads wouldn't believing in luck be the opposite of believing in fate though?

i mean all the events are random, sure, but if more of them happen to you of the good kind, then you're lucky.

nothing is random. everything causes what comes after. what happens now causes what happens in infinitely short period of time after now. what happens now is so complex we will never understand it all at once. everything is determined and locked in on a sub atomic scale. if a positively charged particle is near a negatively charged particle, it will be affected in a certain invariable way. free will and thought are illusions. randomness is an illusion. whats going to happen will happen. the greater one's understanding of the factors of now are, the greater the potential to predict the future becomes. "is" knows the full extent of these factors, and it is thus that "will be" is pre-determined by is.
