My financial aid is all fucked up :( I took out fin aid in 2003 - but dropped all my classes that fall semester... so now I'm unable to get any fin aid because I didn't complete 70% of my hours - now for spring 2004 I attempted 9hrs and completed 6 - summer attempted 3, completed three, and this fall attemped 6 and completed 3... and they're saying I'm still not in the clear, I haven't completed enough hrs. I have zero money for school next semester if I don't get fin aid... I have to appeal, and my reason was work, because I'm now a independant (although in 2003 I was a dependant) and working 3jobs... although they say work is not a valid excuse.

I don't know what to do.

* In addition to maintaining the overall GPA requirement, a student must also progress toward graduation. A student must have earned at least 70% of all hours attempted at Texas Tech (transfer hours excluded) hours and GPA are checked a minimum of once yearly. Students who register in courses through graduate admissions must earn 70% of all hours attempted. Grades of “W,” “X”, “PR,” “I,” and “F” are *******d in the calculation and are not considered satisfactory completion. Credit by Exam or CLEP hours are not *******d in earned hours.
**Work is not considered a hardship since financial aid is viewed as a supplement to student income to help reduce the number of hours the average student would have to work in any given week. **
