Right take a look at theReading Festival (http://www.readingfestival.co.uk) site and see what you want taping kids. I am definately going to try and see (but not necessarily taping, i'm too poor to buy 40 mds) the following -
Aphex Twin (which means no Strokes. Sorry kids)
Jane's Addiction
Weezer
Foo Fighters
A
Prodigy
Hundred Reasons
Finch
Jimmy Eat World
Rival Schools (maybe not, i'm seeing them 3 days before for the 5th time this year)
Icarus Line
Trail of Dead
CapDown
DCFC (maybe depending onif they clash with dillinger escape plan)
Saves The Day
Get Up Kids
Dashboard Confessional (i know I suck)
Thursday
Anniversary (If I can be bothered)
Hot Rod Circuit
Cave In
Hell is For Heroes
ThisGIRL

What do you peeps want me to tape? Feel free to ask for other bands. Also this year i'm going to attempt stack taping on the main stage, although I fear I could end up being crushed because of the layout. Still it will sound better which is the main thing.

Finch are an amazing band, I'd be interested in a boot of them http://www.netphoria.org/wwwboard/smile.gif

I'm sure you'd get good trades for Weezer/Prodigy too

Well done for opting for Aphex Twin over Strokes too http://www.netphoria.org/wwwboard/smile.gif

I don't know if you'll be at the 2nd stage, but if you can tape Feeder, i'll give you a few shows for that. It's one of their 1st shows in a while. I'd love to hear some of the new material.

Yeah it's going be their second show (they are playing a secret gig in Portsmouth a few days before) since their drummer died.. I used to like them but they went really poppy on the last album.. Maybe that will change them.. Err yeah it depends on stage times, but i'll see what I can do

interesting note for those of you who like em, Finch allows taping as i asked their guitarist or was it they're bassist, the one w/ a mop top. well that could be one of two members.. oh nvermind. funny thing was he asked me afterwards if i taped it. apparently he likes to critique his shows.

I know this a long shot, but does that ******* board access? I'm seeing them and Rival Schools the day before Reading at a tiny semi-secret show and if I can get board for finch, I could probably stay on for RS, although Finch would be great on it's own.
I don't want to arrange the selling of masters or anything because I don't know what's going to clash with what yet and I don't want to miss something I really want to see because I have to tape something for someone else.. I'll just try and tape what I can. I remembered though that most of the small bands only have 1/2 hour sets which means two per a md though!

It looks like BRMC are on at the same time as Foo Fighters and I really want to hear their new stuff so I don't think I can see BRMC http://www.netphoria.org/wwwboard/frown.gif Trail of Dead should be ok though http://www.netphoria.org/wwwboard/smile.gif

hmmmm. that's a tough call. both bands themselves seem small enough to go board w/o any problem. i would just go there before the show, find them and ask them themselves.

Both of those look good.. I really want to see Thursday again and the only band i'd be super-bothered about them clashing with would be A, but I don't think that'll happen (hah, i've jinxed it now!). I'll try and do (I)NC too if I can, but they might clash with Saves The Day. I need my gay-ass pop-punk!
