I posted here a little while around 2000 under a different name and then kinda forgot about it for a really long time and then about 6 months ago I stumbled across this mecca of sarcastic humor and unneccesary insults

A bagman is a lazy stoner who gets involved in an elaborate kidnapping scheme and is required to drop off a bag of money to a gang of incompotent German Nihlists. Its the line in the movie when the nihlists ask the dude who they are speaking to and he responds "dude, the bagman"

true or true: the nihilists were the funniest part of that movie, and almost all of that movie was funnier than anything else?

The scene where the dude and walter drop off the suitcase and everything gets fucked up is my all time favorite scene in a movie. And the nihlists are beyond hysterical in that movie. "We's fuck yooou uuuup!"

The movie is the Big Lebowski. I'm a big fan of the oat sodas but I haven't been to the map room, where is it located? I'm living in the suburbs and commuting into the city for work for a few months and then i'll be moving downtown.

I am going to have to rent The Big Lebowski again, I think every guy I know has some attachment to that movie. I only saw it once and I was in high school and that was just so long ago.

The map room is round about 1900 N Hoyne. You could find it on www.metromix.com if you wanted. It's over near Wicker Park. They have a ridiculous selection and the place is pretty open yet pub-like and cozy. They have all sorts of travel books and maps and flags... Its a cafe in the daytime. Its thought to be one of the best bars here for sure. You should also check out The Hopleaf up in Andersonville. They specialize in Belgian beers and its a very cool place.

I'd say I'll be gone by the time you move to the city, but if not I'll buy you a beer.

I have some friends up in the wicker park area, I'll try and keep that place in mind next time i'm up there, I'm always looking for new watering holes where i can limber up my mind. And as far as buying me a drink, the dude most certainly abides

i'm an interchange analyst (financial analyst more or less) at visa. my work centers more on technical and systems stuff, but i definitely hit some of the finance stuff too. i like it a lot, at first it was kind of dry but i'm taking on more and more responsibility.

now i need to get internal audit off my ass. this might do the trick:
