I've got an exam tomorrow in my American Communities class :(

It's basically over the entire text, 'Habits of the Heart' Which I've only skimmed through. I've spent about 15 hours this weekend getting caught up and studying my ass off. I really hope I get a decent grade on this shit.

I actually like communication theory. I really wanted to do comm as a minor, but I said fuck it because I didn't want to take a debate class.

People seek information to reduce uncertainty and entropy. The information in a message can be defined as data in a decision model or as the impact each piece of data has on each person's sense of uncertainty. Compare the two approaches. Also define entropy and explain how this concept helps to explain the nature of information. Show how information is used by people to reduce uncertainty in interpersonal, organizational, and mass mediated settings.

its just so vague and ambiguous though. all the terms have definitions like this that you have to recount on the tests but its so hard to do when they're all essentially the same thing. what a phony major
