I mean you've seen the movies a jillion times already. So it's on DVD now. Whoopty shit. God. And they're not even that good. Luke Skywalker is the wimpiest action hero ever. You are DAMN lucky Lucas got Harrison Ford in there or else these movies would have completely sucked ass.

Go blow an ewok.

B5 sucks.

DS9 had a slow beginning, a killer middle run and one of the lamest goddamn endings in history therefore negating anything cool that was done in its run. DUKAT SHOT FUCKING FIRE OUT OF HIS MOUTH FOR GOD'S SAKE!! TELL ME HOW THAT IS A GOOD IDEA?!

Star Wars has lightsabers. Therefore its cool. Sure the Emperor shoots lightning but Dukat SHOT FUCKING FIRE. Star Wars is a fantasy movie, DS9 is a sci-fi show. SCI-FI AND STAR TREK SHOWS SHOULD NOT HAVE EVIL BOOKS OF EVIL AND BAD GUYS WHO SHOOT FIRE OUT OF THIER MOUTHS!!!

Hey man, that shit with Dukat and the Pah-wraiths was just the last episode. Dukat was an amazing character before that silly stuff went down. The Emperor is also a very cool character, the only one i really like in Star Wars. So i'll give you that.

Dukat went downhill after DUET, the one where Sisko and him were trapped on the planet together. That was the last great Dukat episode and then they just fucked him beyond belief

Dukat's The Pah-wraiths of Evil started back in Season 6. That's how he killed Dax, remember?

DS9's high point was "Far Beyond the Stars" (amazing episode, don't get me wrong there) but it just ran out of steam after that. Aside from a few bright spots ("In Pale Moonlight" being one) it became too navel gazing, introverted and silly.

<font color=#007AAA face="courier new">In DS9's defense, Garak was one of the coolest characters ever, Odo was interesting, Chief O'Brien was around, Gul Dukat was gret, Quark was often pretty funny, and Terry Farrell was hot as fuck. There were some really poop episodes to begin with but once the War with the Dominion got off the ground it was really good. Way better than Voyager, which blew chunks from the get go.</fonT>

Voyager had some superweak episodes and it was, in general, the weakest of the Trek series.

However everybody dropped out and, while I couldn't say the show had a great SEASON or string of episodes, per see - they did the odd episode here and there, maybe 3 a season, that just blew the lid off the fucking place.

I always come back to Voyagers "THE KILLING GAME" in which the climax involved Holographic Klingons vs. Holographic Nazis which counts as one of the coolest things I've seen in Star Trek ever.

In General, Voyager was kind of like the last 2 seasons of TNG -- general suckiness but once in awhile holy fuck was it ever cool.

Yeah i guess my memory is kinda hazy. I choose to remember Dukat as he was.

My favorite thing about DS9 was Chief O'Brien (Colm Meaney). He was the most realistic character ever portrayed in Star Trek. Just a regular guy.

And I like navel gazing introversion.

First Contact. Don't mention Insurrection. Contrary to popular belief, its not Star Trek V but INSURRECTION that is the pimple on the ass of the Star Trek franchise.

I can't see the apeal of Crusher aside from being a MILF. Yes, she's a milf. Yes her husband died while under Picard's command. Yes, she has a baby genius. . AND?

Seriously, after 7 years and 4 movies still know fuck all about her aside from she got horny with a ghost. And that was one of the worst TNG episodes in history.

The only time Crusher was mildly cool was when she took command in "DESCENT PART 2" and that was really just rehasing Data's same "I'm in command" riff from .... uh. Shit, can't remember the episode title. It was the Klingon civil war episode part 2. You know where Data is like "MR. SO AND SO YOU WILL FOLLOW OUT MY ORDERS OR YOU WILL BE RELIEVED OF DUTY!"

But, yeah, Crusher's only cool moment in TNG history was just a rip-off of Data's exact same storyline from a year previously.

And the Doctor's opera shit was lame, however it *DID* make way for one of the flat-out awesomest teasers in Trek history in "Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy" where the Doctor was singing opera and then Tuvok was seized by the passions of "Pon Farr" so the Doctor zaps him with the hypospray while STILL singing. Sure the whole thing turned out to be the Doctor's daydream, but it was a great opener (and another Great Voyager episode) anyway.

I kind of understand why they never did the Q flick. That would be a hard movie to sell, especially to the non-core audience.

Besides, Voyager actually did more to ruin Q than they did to ruin the Borg.

I always thought a "trail of humanity/ time travel / parallel universe" Q movie would work. He could just send the Ent crew flying all over space/time and telling them to "work it out for themselves". Think "All Good Things" but amp up the timelines and action times a billion.

Of course, see how I mentioned Q SQUARED? To me that would have made a perfect movie. Its really hardcore awesomness.

Yah, I always lingered over those books when they were out but I thought "Nah, Peter David wrote the definitive Q novels, I don't want to spoil it" and I'd put them back on the shelf.

I did flip to the end of one of the novels and it said something about "R" and had a cool page that said <B>"I'll KILL Q AND Q AND Q AND Q AND Q AND Q AND Q"</B> etc. etc. That looked pretty nifty and very in line with David's style.

Now I'm not even sure if I can find any copies kicking around anymore. I'll check again, but the shelf-life of Trek novels at my local coles bookstore is short.

I like it alot too, its my fav. Next Gen flick but there's alot of parallel's with ALIENS, at least in Picard's Borg story. Cochrene's b-story and interplay on the planet is gold, though. Whatthefuck is his name, Farmer from Babe.... uhhhhhhhhhhh...

dammit. had a crappy TV series recently.

JAMES CROMWELL!

Yeah, he's really good in FC. The Borg stuff in FC is cool too, but sometimes they're ripping on ALIENS a little too closely. Skin bulging nightmares, Queens/Hives, going into to save a someone from the Queen in the hive whom the main character has a parental relationship.

Its nothing huge, but I always notice it, personally. Not that I mind, ALIENS is one of my favourite all time movies so if you're gonna rip off a movie rip off a good one.
