if not i guess it's going to be over soon. anyone want to share anything cool that they did this summer, or why they did or didn't enjoy it?

i had probably the shittiest summer of my life but it was alright. It just never really got hot enough and I was having personal issues. But I did get to go to the farmer's market, and to the lake, and flew a kite, and spent a little time in the parks, and watched the boats on the lake and all the little doggies on the sidewalks. I had one semi-failed picnic. All in all, I didn't do 1/2 the shit I had planned to do, but it was okay.

summer was fun, didn't work for the first half, then got a decent job
went on enough bike rides and walks to enjoy the outside..
made lots of music, formed a new band which i enjoy a lot.
all in all a good summer even if it was a little rainly and cool
we still have 4 days left though!

Yeah this summer kind of sucked. Last summer Zach and I took two road trips to concerts and it was just awesome.

This summer we didn't go anywhere, I got demoted and had constant money problems. Bah.

What happened to this summer...where did it go?!

I really think the weather fucked up most of my summer plans. It was way too cold out at night to be able to enjoy laying in the grass, or sitting on the sidewalk having cigarettes and drinking boba tea. :(

I'm proud to say that I accomplished about 85% of the things I wanted to accomplish this summer, and that's a large large percentage for me.

-i moved (even if it wasn't to where i wanted to)
-took pictures of the city
-went on a bike trail with Tina and rode approx. 20 miles
-went on the same bike trail a week later with Tina and rode another 25 miles
-tripped on acid at six flags great america
-had one of the best birthdays in memory
-went to Michigan for 4th of July
-walked a lot
-took the cta a lot
-got my car fixed
-smoked lots and lots and lots of pot
-saw the cure

The only three things that I really wanted to do this year but didn't were:

-go to the Taste of Chicago
-go swimming either at the lake or at the pool by my house
-start on the book that Tina and I are going to write together

I vowed this year to be the best year so far, and so far it has been.

I did some things I had set out to do.

- I worked enough to save some money.
- I went to Bumbershoot for Public Enemy and Nas.
- I saw my friend Tony's band's last show before he moved.
- I hung out with a lot of my friends, not just the usual ones that I see evey day.
- I met a lot of new people.
- Got trashed about four nights a week.
- Went camping on Nehalem Bay.
- Went to Bend to visit family.
- Made reservations for Lake Tahoe in October.
- accumulated almost an entirely new wardrobe, dresses and fancy shoes *******d.

I REALLY wanted to go to more concerts but it was impossible to get the time off of work. I would have liked to have seen the Pixies, Talib Kweli and various others. :(

Summer has been over for weeks around here.
Mine wasn't that great, not as many great experiences.
