thanks.

22 years old...and look at everything i've accomplished in that time: perfect attendence award in the 5th grade, certificate of participation in a tae kwon do class i took for two weeks. if only i can perpetuate such diligence

yesterday on the bus i was thinking about how much things had looked up for you since you changed your username. i wanna die was not kicking it with these folks, but your kickass real name is working. or maybe they just had to get to know you?

anyway, happy birthday. have a good one.

thank god i was able to find another address where I could activate my current account. i thought i was stuck with that name forever. but yeah after four years its finally going good here...which is sort-of a bad thing, considering my schedule. ugh...internet addiction. how shameful

Happy Birthday!

I was going to make a thread, but I'm really glad someone already did. 22 is going to be good, I'm sure, but wait until 23, things are really going to look up (after a brief stint of sucking big time! 1-2 months). Ok, I'll stop speaking about myself now :D

Enjoy your "special day"...oh man, I sound like a birthday card...:( ok... Bonne fête! there :)

How much more inane can you get than this?! I hope this is the upper limit because if I ever see another web journal that's more insignificant than this one my head just might explode. How can anyone read this journal and then think to themselves, "This was a great use of my time. I am glad I read this." There is nothing of substance here. There is nothing to learn here. There is nothing offered here. Web journals are the antithesis of intelligence. By patronizing these websites you actually get dumber. The wrinkles in your brain begin to smooth themselves out until you start up a web journal of your own. Can we please stop this madness?

awww, i get tears in my eyes when i think of how randell quotes a post with a lol and then deletes the lol because he's afraid people won't like him (usually because the joke is a bit disgusting or mean)! that's so sweet, underneath the hard spamming surface there's a heart of gold.

We run a pretty large risk by trashing movie after movie here at Something Awful. While many of the films we review are absolute garbage with no redeeming qualities other than the fact that they eventually come to an end, we also run across the occasional piece that causes us to raise an eyebrow. Sometimes we have to pause and wonder, is this movie really that bad, or did we just somehow misinterpret the filmmaker's artistic vision? "Nightslave" definitely toes that line. It's just bizarre enough that it occurred to me that perhaps I just didn't get what the movie was going for. Sure, it was bad, that much was clear, but it seemed possible that it was bad only because the small budget did not allow the director to achieve the full scope of his vision. Could it be that this poor, misunderstood piece of cinematic brilliance would be the film that forever changed the way I looked at low budget filmmaking? Then, after the movie ended, I had a chance to think about it some more and I realized that no, it's just terrible. The status quo remained intact, and I was able to sleep knowing that both "Nightslave" and whatever demented "vision" spawned it are both complete pieces of crap
