I kind of want to play it, but-

a) I don't have an Xbox, so I'd have to get one of those.

b) I've heard it's not as good as it was in development,... so I'll wait for it to be on computer.

Meh, I guess I'll pla yit if a friend downloads it for Xbox.
It doesn't really appeal to me as a game I want to get into. :/

My boyfriend's playing it right now in the living room before he has to leave for work in a half hour! Then he'll be gone for about 7 hours and I will be playing it all day.

Last night we took turns playing it from 5pm until 3am. He's going the good way and I'm going the bad way so we can see the difference in all the outcomes and stuff.

It is absolutely magnificent. Really, one of the best video games I've ever played. I'm very satisfied by it.

This is easily the best game of the year. It is exactly the type of game I love.

Only Metroid Prime 2 can beat this.

I think anyone who got Fable should do the same! I'm curious to see what everyone is dressing themselves up as. My brother called me the day Fable came out just to boast about how he was already sprouting devil horns and he had barely started the game, haha.

I'm not too incredibly far because I spend a lot of time schmoozing, beating people up and generally trying to make myself more evil / handsome (or at least handsome in the eyes of the twisted world of Fable! I can't believe some of the haircuts that those women swoon over!). Let's see... I'm on my way to the Chapel of Skore I think it's called so I can give them my servitude and thus become MORE EVIL!!! :D

I'm also on my way to Twinblade's Bandit Camp so I can find their seeress, but I watched my boyfriend do that entire quest last night so I already know what happens and what goes down. :\

Are you talking about digging up that ghost dude's stuff? I also watched my boyfriend do that and decided on my game to just screw talking to him and go dig up the money and axe myself. I sold the axe for a pretty good price at the Darkwood Camp. I think it was like 2900, close to 3000 gold.

Which side are you taking, good or evil? Or just staying kinda neutral? My boyfriend's finding it kind of hard to stay good... I mean he doesn't do anything really bad, but every once in a while he'll check his stats and it'll be neutral, or even a little evil even though he hasn't done anything heinous. Weird.

Oohhhh yeah last night my boyfriend's dad came over and they were totally making fun of me because I was starting to go bald since I was sprouting my horns (eventually I opted to pull a b0lly and just shave it all off) but then when my boyfriend started playing his file he started to go bald, too, and his hair started turning grey 'cause he uses magic so much.

I fucking kick ASS at the memory match game in the tavern. I was gambling my ass off for like 30 straight minutes last night and won soooo much money!

I really like how gold isn't exactly easy to come by in the game, you know? I mean you can get it pretty easy but in small quantities. It gives me more reason to kill traders I see walking down the Darkwood paths.

Nah, I understand completely. If I didn't know so many people / wasn't dating someone who owns / has access to an X-BOX I wouldn't be making all these posts right now!

i beat it in 6 hours. that was just going through the straight story. so DONT DO THAT. there's tons of other shit to do that easily extends it past maybe 40 hours. or more. oh. and i really fucking like it.

Yeah I heard it's really easy to beat if you just do everything straight through. I actually kind of like the fact that the game is more based on gameplay and isn't so heavily based on the battles and stuff. I'm a pretty wimpy action adventure type, so I doubt I could handle the battles they'd thrown my way if they had focused more on that.

Yeah but the thing about Fable is that the replay value is TREMENDOUS due to it's high nonlinear structure. Someone else said you could beat it in what? 6 hours?

But that's sticking to the story and not doing any of the optional quests, or involving yourself in other trivial yet somehow extremely fun things, like getting married, buying a house / renting out that house, stealing shit from shops and then turning around and selling it back to the poor shitface you stole it from, running around doing nothing but getting more and more evil / more and more good, developing your skills to become more of a fighter / ranger / thief / assassin / mage / spellwarrior / etc., making sacrifices at the Chapel of Skorm (sp?) / donating to the Temple of Avo, making the male school teacher fall in love with you... And basically just becoming the most well renowned (or most feared) hero in all of Albion.

The fact that there are so many ways to alter your apperance by more than just haircuts and tattoos alone (eating / building your physique to get fat ... Using magic and getting really old ... Being evil and getting horns, ETC.) makes the replay so worth it. I mean, I'm already talking on the phone with my older brother once a day about Fable and what kind of character we're going to "do next."

Fucking spectacular game. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some shops in Oakvale to pilfer. :D

Oh yeah, last night our characters got so fucking wasted at the tavern. It was bizarre at first, because I didn't realize the screen's colors were going to get all caddy wompus when we got crunk. I was like "WTF Chris? What's wrong with your TV?!"

I think the movement is great and I really like the controller set up. It seems like a bit much, but it only took me about 15 minutes to get used to it, and now I have virtually no problem at all during combat.

This is the first action RPG since SNES era Zelda that I've actually been good at. I think the battle system is great and I love the way you "level up" with your experience. And the combat multiplier fucking RULES. I loved beating the shit out of the earth trolls in the Arena and getting up to like 23 combat multiplier.

I just got my guile up to level 6 or 7 and now have the pick lock skill :love:
