Metro is proud to present a celebration of David James and Sonja Figueroa¹s courage in their fight against cancer on Sunday, September 19, 2004. Don¹t miss Another State of Mind: A Benefit for David-James and Sonya Figueroa featuring collaborative performances from members of Caviar, Billy Corgan, Giant Step, Kill Hannah, Rick Nielsen, Nick Tremulis and DJ Ric Addy.

David-James, Metro¹s Security Coordinator, has been a Metro fixture for for over 20 years. He¹s an important part of the Metro family and has made a positive lasting impression on millions of Metro patrons. Last year David-James was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin¹s Lymphoma cancer and spent a great deal of 2003 in treatment battling the disease. Thankfully, David-James has been successful in his fight and is back with us at Metro. Unfortunately, David-James¹ wife Sonya was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and she is currently undergoing treatment.

Metro will donate Another State of Mind ticket proceeds to the Figueroa Fund. Additional donations can be sent to Figueroa Fund, c/o Metro, 3730 N. Clark St., Chicago, IL 60618.
