his e-mail: hewittdan@hotmail.com

He sent me an e-mail about setting up a trade and i agreed, it was a 10 disc trade...
I sent him the discs on 02-03-21 and he recieved them, then he sent me an e-mail that he was going to send me the discs(he waited to recieve the discs, even thhough he was the one that contacted me) , i waited for more than a month and didnt recieve them, i sent him an email telling him i did not recieve them, he said he was going to send again, but nothing...

i just e-mailed him a week ago, and he said he was not going to send...
im really thinking he didnt even send the cd's the first time at all.

So i got screwed with 10 cd's...

I also traded with him twice. Nothing but pleasant feedback from me. This seems out of character.

He's a good trader in my book. There were no delays in our trade and the quality of the discs he sent were excellent.

I`ve traded with him two times and on the 2nd trade, some boots came with flaws and I`ve sent two emails asking if his copy have them and he never answered. I even posted here next to one of his post and nothing. The trade was 3 months ago.

You are all bad traders as far as I'm concerned.

my first trade with dan was very similar to what jose described. He sent flawed discs, told me he would replace some of them and didn't.
My second trade with him went great though so i don't know what to make of this situation.

as many of you who have already poted here who have traded with me in the past know, i am NOT a bad trader. i have sent this guy's discs to mexico THREE times. they never reach him or at least he says so. i find it hard to believe, but i will say its a possibility that he is not getting them. what do you guys think?? i feel that enough is enough. if you cant get stuff into your country its not my problem, but if it is popular consensus here that i send a FOURTH time, i will. lets hear it.................

I have traded with both. I did a 10 disc trade with Dan (no problems at all). And I too had to resend my package to pumpkin geek in Mexico. He got it the 2nd time around. So either this guy likes colecting multipule shows or somethings happing at the boarder.

I've never done a physical snail mail trade with either, but I have dealt with pumpkin_geek on the hub (assuming pg is Dario) and he seems to be a decent, honest guy. Could it be a customs problem at the border?

Am I the only one who thinks that people who do such a large trade immediately with someone they never traded with before are either very desperate or very shortsighted?

I mean, wouldn't it be wiser, in *any* case, to just do 2-4 discs first, see how it fares, and then later on trade again?
You get ten discs; how long before you'll notice some error on one of them? Will you immediately closely listen to all ten of them inorder to be sure they're flawless? Or will you just trust the other guy up front that the discs you get are good?

And as in this case, how will you know if those discs even reach you? If your first try was unsuccesfull, well, pah, a few cdrs lost is no big deal.

My advice: Never do large trades with someone you haven't traded succesfully with before.

Personally, my own version is: Never do large trades.

Agreed. I did a three disc trade once, and received three shitty discs in return for three perfect ones. I'll never trade more than one disc at a time again.

i have had a terrible time with getting discs to mexico, and just mexico. i've done several overseas trades and all have gone smoothly. imo - there are some mexican boarder guards who really like the pumpkins.

I bought a Sharp MD from Dan. No problems with the transaction. I live in Spain. He is a good Seller (no live stuff/bootlegs seller, of course!), so he MUST BE a good trader.

I never said Dan was a bad trader. I only said that he didn`t have answered my emails concerning some flaws I`ve found out and he still haven`t replied!!!
Bad burns can happen. That`s why informing about them can we clarify if in both copies, those flaws are there. This is the reason why i always inform FIRST if the boots someone have choosen, have flaws and what place/flaws. Then, the trader can decide if he will still keep it or choose another one.
About mexico, I only did one trade and he sugest me to send my package by "declared value"(sorry, i donīt know the english word)and it went well!!!

My way to try to avoid bad copies: ask him to send first. When i don`t know the trader, i ask him to send first and that way I`ll know if his a good trader by sending the discs and checking if the discs are flawless.
Doing trades with traders you already trust
is a good option too!!!

I have written down that I traded with a Enrique De La Torre from mexico and when I posted I remembered the De La Torre name. so Maybe its a brother or something. The trade I mentioned I sent my end on 10-23-00 and it was the 07-05-97 show.
