Utterly magnificent. Easily the best American film of the year (and yes, that includes Eternal Sunshine, and I loved me some Eternal Sunshine). I can't think of a more perfect ending to a film.

So yeah, if you guys haven't seen it, you probably should.

i'm glad somebody else liked this. i thought it was very charming, in a surprisingly endearing way. it ducked out of cheesy at just the right moments.

Yeah, I really do want to see this movie, but I haven't seen the first one... does it help or make the movie better if you see the prequel first?

Don't rent Before Sunrise first, regardless of whether you've seen it already. A lot of the film rests on the flimsiness of memory, so if you go back and rent Before Sunrise, you'll be cheating, in a sense, because you won't be experiencing what the characters experience.

Also, I'm drunk, so don't listen to me.

sooooo... it's better if you don't see the prequel before hand? Or you shouldn't bother watching it after you see the the second one?

or did the first one just suck alot?

Watch it after you see the sequel. You'll appreciate it more, methinks.

I don't agree. but again, I'm not drunk.

"Before Sunrise" is one of my sister's favourite movies, so I'm waiting for her to get back from the UK to see "Before Sunset" together. I won't rent "Before Sunrise" because I've seen it quite a few times, but my suggestion, Julian, is rent the prequel, maybe don't pay too much attention to it, and watch "Before Sunset" after a a week / a couple of weeks or so.
