It was a good speech but he talked so goshdarned fast it was ridiculous. I think he tried to cram too much stuff into it.

At least he knew enough to correct his mistake immediately after he said it unlike our current occupant of the White House.

he wrote the speech out longhand and i think he didn't practice it quite enough

he seemed rushed and perhaps part of it was he was trying to keep the ball rolling and his mind on the right part of the speech

that's tough to remember all that crap (unless he was on a teleprompter in which case he's the same ol john kerry i've heard so much about)

Apparently, his speech was supposed to be 75 minutes long and it was only 45 minutes long.

Uh....every speech was on the teleprompter. The State of the Union, most addresses to the UN, every convention speech for BOTH parties is on a teleprompter.

He was trying to finish his speech by 10:55. That's why he rushed it.
