if that isn't a joke, then that is scary. The Iraqi government doesn't have the ability to manufacture weapons. You want the US troops out of there, right? You want to leave the new government with no way to enforce their laws?
Pick a side.. really.

so we go to war to find military weapons, and when we don't, we provide them? who's to say they won't fall into the wrong hands or be hijacked by the wrong hands?
what side are you on?
the one where you support powers that started war under false information, to "protect us from terror" while in the same breath those powers suggest that our free elections are subject to rescheduling/cancellation because of terrorist plots?
how are you so sure that the weapons will be used properly? what indicates that the right people have control there?

The weapons we're going to supply aren't going to be chemical, biological, or nuclear. We're most likely talking about low-tech, purely conventional weaponry. Perhaps some vehicles as well. Standard fare.

i realize we aren't handing over nukes, i'm just saying is iraq stable enough with a reliable enforcement agency to handle any provided weaponry? i'm not confident that phase is ready to occur. i need to see a government that has a platform and proven stability first. that's all.

The point is, they already have weaponry. They're just going to be out of ammo and replacements soon.
This isn't really changing anything.. .it's just resupplying.

Fucking A-Right. Nothing sinister in it at all.
However, if the US is all about giving weapons and shit o it's allies, can they chuck a bunch of fighter aircraft New Zealand's way? Our airshows are hella lame these days, and I want to see F-16's or something instead of Hercules transporters and that one guy and his Spitfire.
