"This is an actual copy of THE CHARLIE ROSE SHOW from purchased from PBS. The air date is August 3, 1998 and it is show number 2217.

THE CHARLIE ROSE SHOW is an interview style show. For this airdate, Rose interviews C. Boyden Gray the Former White House Counsel, Billy Corgan formerly of the Smashing Pumpkins (BEFORE HIS ZWAN DAYS) who talks about his latest albulm (at that time) "Adore," and Lou Holts, Former Head Football Coach of Notre Dame, who is promoting his book, "Winning Everyday: The Game Plan for Success."

The show is an hour long and runs without commercial interruption."

Does anyone remember this? I sure don't.

That's the time where he complained that they were attacking him for his "the killer in you is the killer in me" lyrics and he explained that it wasn't violent and they ignored him and went on as if it was violent. He talked about it somewhere.

Oh wait that says 1998... I don't know, that might be something else than what I was thinking of.

I think I watched this, he was wearing a black shirt and cowboy hat. Yeah, not a stretch for the Adore-era but that's about all I remember.

I work for our school PBS station...I could try and liberate an archive copy if we have one and then digitize it for anyone who wants it. Somehow I doubt we'll have a show from 98, but it won't hurt to check.

I don't remember if that was a call-in show or not where fans could ask questions... but I remember once calling up, and I was next in line to ask a question, but they didn't have time for me. :( boo. that was back in my 14 year old fangirl days, hahahaha.
